Haha you guys are funny, as far as I know we arent going to be disqualifying people if their bug isnt "technically" an insect. :)
 
I think I have managed to delete my own post?

I have so many photos of bugs and critters to share (Probably why I suggest the thread) - this isnt the best quality photo I have but its probably one of the strangest bugs Ive ever seen.

HAHA - I honestly have no idea? I was sitting having a beer one night when I spotted it creeping along the decking.

I can understand the furry looking 'feelers' at the front of the thing but why does it need four chimney looking things on its back?

Like I have said I love this topic and could post a few hundred shots - heres a couple that I simply want to share but are not to be classed as my entry so I wil NSFW them

it looks like the lovechild of a broom, caterpillar, cactus and Joshua tree.

8ft, I can see the text when I go into edit & can see nothing wrong with the tags, except maybe the file name which is of epic proportions. It may help by saving the photo as a shorter name & then uploading again?
 
yeah it says it's under 700 pixels ... whats a good site to upload pics to?

driving through a national park i spotted this clan of butterflies just chillin' out. i had to creep up slowly to get the shot,but i did. it is one of my favorite photos bc it was so serendipitous.

and i double checked....butterflies are insects;)

Please resize your entry!! Its too big, you need to scale it to 700px at its largest point. Its such a beautiful photo, I'd hate to see it disqualified for size! :(
