RULES
1. Any photograph or variation of a photograph which have been previously submitted in the forums or gallery for viewing and discussion cannot be used in the contest.

2. Photographs must be your original work and that has never been copyrighted or, if copyrighted, that you are the sole copyright owner of.

3. Only one photograph may be entered per contest.

4. All photographs must be free of watermarks, signatures and borders

5. Photographs must be no wider than 700 and no higher than 700.

6. Deadline for entries is 12am eastern on the posted deadline date.

7. Voting ends at 12am eastern on the posted end date.

8. Post your images in the appropriate thread in the form of an image, not a link to click on.

9. Don't be a dummy and vote for your own photo, try and make it fun.

Be reminded that this is a photo contest and so images which have been heavily manipulated through an image editing software will not be accepted.

Images which are not relevant to the week's theme will be automatically removed.

Note: chrissie will be helping me keep this on track. I will pick the next theme and post it the night a contest ends for the next round so people have a full 8 days of time to take pictures and submit them. Voting will take place from midnight to midnight over 2 days (i.e 12am Friday - 12am midnight sunday). After all the entries have been posted, a poll will be added the last night so people can vote.

So here is the schedule:
September 11-18 submissions.
September 19-20 voting.

September 21-28 submissions.
September 29-30 voting.

October 1-8 submissions.
Octover 9-10 voting.

etc.

Just like last round, submit your photos in this thread and a mod will re-post them when voting starts in a seperate voting thread. Good luck!

this photo was taken 9-10-06 , Stanley our cat is looking out from the back porch, the reflection of my wife and I can be seen in the glass as are the grass and back yard.
You can see into the porch area and the cat seems to fade away . I also used a flash...

mazey- I love your pic! I'm so confused, though... were you standing inside or outside when you took it? and are your wife and cat on the same side of the door as you?

Just sayin that links to larger images are f0rbidd3n!!

Congrats, btw. If I start seeing a pattern with you winning every week, I will be forced to think this is strictly a popularity contest and will make a stipulation where the winner is not allowed to participate in the following contest! ;)

Why are links to larger images forbidden? It's not like it gives someone an advantage.

Edit/

Actually, what mazey did isn't forbidden at all according your rules. He submitted a photo within the guidelines and linked to a larger one because I wanted to see it.

I didn't get any macto photos in time because I'm still a novice at perfecting DOF in outdoor macro shots, plus it's been blowing a gale of late. :\

Anyway I'm not going to get to do a good reflections photo this weekend, so I've dug up the only one I could find where the water was actually somewhat still. It's from truely stunning Norway, a country where I have so many sweet watery photos!

An old baptismal pool behind a church in southern AL. April 2006. Taken by my husband and posted here with his permission, cuz he couldn't figure out the code. ;)
