I'm going with Undead's entry. The close up and detail is amazing. Well done mate!
 
This was tough for me as well, but I too went with Samadhi. That Shot was obviously taken by skilled hands, its lovely my dear.
 
Spork got my vote - I just love the state of the butterfly (looks like its been through hell :D)
 
I loved Samadhi's and katmeow's pics, and Yakuza's for the lulz =D

But I voted for undead, I loved the colours and the composition of the photo was perfectly balanced imo :)
 
i went with yakuza's pic. it made me giggle so much that i almost spat beer on my computer.

Close call for me with Bearlove and Undead, but I just couldn't go past bearlove's with the wings spread right out.
 
It's also very hard for me, and at the risk of excluding anyone... I'm simply going to proclaim my choice and why.

My vote goes to Bearlove, because the color and the detail are outstanding!

Btw... there are so many GREAT entries, but at the risk of saying "this is awesome, this is why" I figured I'd be better off just explaining my choice otherwise I'll be typing forever!

That said... I do at least want to say to katmeow... I love love love your entries. You're always thinking outside the box. You definitely break up the monotony!
 
It was a close call between undead and Bearlove, but my vote went to Bearlove - the composition of the photo, the clarity of focus; the photo captures the fragile nature of butterflies perfectly. It was such a hard decision though - you are 2 of my favourite artists in the photo threads. <3

You know how hard getting a good photo of a butterfly is - I was creeping around trying to sneak up on this thing for ages before I managed to get a great shot. You can even see its looking at me and a split second after the image was taken it flew away (and if a butterfly could laugh, it did!)
