So, am I right? If so, can I shed my greenlighter status? lol I think I might be the first GL'er to participate in this forum.

Actually, I stumbled upon this thread accidentally while I was searching for information related to why I've retained my status as a greenlighter (I recently surpassed the 50 post requirement, but perhaps it takes a few days for the change to be applied). By the way, I ran across an OP who reached bluelighter status after 45 posts, and I was just wondering how the person managed that feat.

Woops. I spoke too soon. It looks like I just went from GL to BL :)

I'm sure you were right when you posted the answer and you get to ask the next question.

You have become a Bluelighter all on your own :) Congrats! As far as I know you are the first greenlighter in the thread but you went and posted enough that we are out of Greenlighters again :(

The number of post to reach BLighter status was raised from 20 to 50 not all that long ago. It has provided better insulation against people here just to Spam or otherwise ignore guidelines.

And now, your question is. . .

This will seem far too easy for most of you but...

If a journalist desires to obtain information about BL, to whom would he/she direct their inquiry? Would holding the position of moderator automatically entitle that person to speak to the press on behalf of BL? How would a representative of the press find out who is an authorized BL representative?

There are several places throughout the website where one can obtain information about Bluelight. If one wanted to contact a person specifically, they would contact johnboy, the site owner. Holding a moderator position, or even an admin position, does not automatically entitle that person to speak on behalf of Bluelight. Johnboy would be first and foremost as a site rep, then others could be appointed by him.

What do you do if you lose/forget the password to your BL account?

Your question assumes I've retained the rest of my faculties.

Also regarding press inquiries at this link one could tick the box for 'Press or Media Enquiry' and their message will get to someone equipped to deal with their request.

Question still stands:

What do you do if you lose/forget the password to your BL account?

=What do you do if you lose/forget the password to your BL account?
PM Hoptis? =D

Oh, here it is:
I forgot my BL password

If you forgot your password, click the Forgot my password link. Enter your registered email address and a password link will be sent to you. If you don't see the link in your email, check your junk mail folder - some email providers sometimes classify our automated messages as junk mail.

I forgot my BL password and my registered email address is no longer valid (former employer/university, etc.)

We cannot help you with this because there is no way to verify your identity securely. Sorry.
