Plus your story was flawed. You met her a year ago, yet didn't have sex for three months. All good. But then you only were begged to take her hand in marriage two weeks ago. Nice story tho' :)

on the weekend i hook up with this guy that has been chasing me for a week .... really nice boy yadda yadda yadda sends me lovely messages etc etc
seems really really keen and what's better, really really nice

take him to a party and he gets the thumbs up from all friends involved. he seems to be really nice to all my friends and really into me .... which means i bring down my ice queen barricades.

It's not till he has been in my bed (which is hugely unusual) for quite some time that i find out that was all just a game and he didn't mean one iota of it and he's going back to a long term girlfriend this week. it was all just a hoax.

This is why i am staunchly single.

thats really true about the lying and cheating. i try hard to be an ice queen but at the end of the day im just like any other girl wanting to be hugged and cherished and to adore and love in return. a lot of people tend to take advantage of that. i guess its all part of losing the innocence and naivete of childhood and growing in the wary maturity of adulthood.

That sucks Kitty. You remind me so much of myself in so many of your posts. Well the old me really (not meaning that in a put down way at all like i have 'evolved' or anything) I just see alot of me in you. So many people play so man heart and head games when they don't have good intentions. Trusting people all the time sux but I had to learn that i was only seeing what i wanted to most of the time and blocking the bad. Sometimes you have to take a few steps back and breathe princess :)

This is why I hate PUAs. They make all the rest of us look like arseholes.

Being single isn't so bad though. I don't really need a woman around the house to mess the place up, when I would be keeping it perfectly tidy living alone. I mean, if I had a way around the lack of sex that didn't involve paying money, being single would be the perfect lifestyle. :-)
