Either he's nuts or I am. Am I the only one that thought it sounded more like an abduction than a romance?
 
Abductions are very romantic! At least he was going to stash me in a nice apartment instead of in a wooden crate in his basement.:\

to sum up:

crush on housemate = not cool

the most unviable relationship ever really, and now that i am presented with the actuality that he may well be about to get a new g/f, and as he is somewhat of a serial monogamist/long-term relationship kind of guy, it's an odd feeling watching what miniscule chance you had just float out the window while you sit there with your hands tied.

aaaah self-destructive relationships, I just do them so goddamn well. :|
