Bluelight Singles thread "Living without justification" Part 2

As mum's new relationship blossoms, I feel even more of a need to find someone...

21 years of just mum and I ... now there's someone else in her life, I need someone in mine.

Maybe I just need company :D

^^ You have plenty of friends(company), you just don't come out and play with us on Tuesdays, hehe. :D

Where did all the hot men go ?

I have no need for a relationship, and dont want anyone. But where are all the hot single men to hang with gone ???
<3
Mella

i see hot single men hanging everywhere..

is that what your after? i dont know... if you want to just hang then its all good.. everyone seems to be just hanging...

me ,.... i dont really know what im after...guess some sparkley flashey thing will catch my eye and distract me for a minute.

... dont mind me im just crapping on.

Melbourne people complaining??
Well I've been here 3 months now. THere are plenty of gorgeous girls around. I swear. I've seen them with my own eyes!!
Not that I've actually chatted to many of them. But hey they do exist....
I have to say, I've come over here single, and while i've met quite a few girls (and guys), it seems each and every one of the girls has so far made me feel just a little uneasy. Which i'm really not used to. THey've all been, well, just a little bit different. In a way i can't quite get my head around yet. They have all seemed to think themselves as uber-cool, but with few exceptions it's becoming a bit of a theme in the people i meet so far. Maybe i just have to adjust to the melbourne mentality?? But i thought this place was pretty darn laid back, almost as much as my home town (Perth).
I am of course basing this on a TINY cross section of people though!!

I know it's only a matter of time before a very fantastic and totally down to earth (dare i say "normal"?) lady crosses my path. I may come back and change this post in 6 month's time when i'm a desperate mess :)

EDIT : sorry that sounded a bit like a bitter rant. I'm not bitter. Really. Not yet anyway....

there are plenty of things you can do to keep warm! =D

I think pick up lines are fucking lame. I fully just laugh out loud at guys that try and pull them on me. I guess I just get annoyed when they make it that obvious that the games all about physical attraction. I mean I know it is, but I don't see the point with saying completely over the top things to someone who may or may not have the personality of a fish.
*note to all - my personality is better than that of a fish*

Do fish even have personalities??? The ones my flatmate just got are pretty fucking boring. The haven't moved the whole time I've been writing this.

^ Maybe they're dead. You should go poke them or something.

Re pick-up lines: if the pick-up line was actually funny and wasn't taken seriously by the guy it would probably be a nice ice-breaker. It's the ones who seriously believe they should alter the alphabet vowels which worry me.

And calliesplit you're right... there are hot men everywhere. Finding a hot guy with more than one brain cell is the problem.

I cant believe they havent closed this thread

you should be out increasing your social circle by going out to, um, for example, the knitting circle at the Trinity Bar.

it's a game of exposure :) you need to meet more to find someone...

ok. this friday night at ANOT i'll introduce you to some "normal", non-clubbing, non-substance-abusing boys in jobs with decent career paths...

(warning: some people call them nerdy geeks)

*josh joins sydkiwi on her couch with a copy of "baldor's gate - dark alliance 2", a bong and a huge packet of doritos.*

See, I honestly choose to be single. I hate it, but I've had plenty of oppotunities to "hook up", i just didn't want to, I think I'm on the path of becoming asexual.
