Bluelight Singles - from begining to end! don't we love the merge feature!

Hardicus knows where its at.
Whord to drinking alone anyway. It rocks. :)
In fact, I would do the vast majority of drugs alone, except for a few stims and psychadelics. :)
Anyway look, if you're going to define who you hang with, what you are, where you go, and what you do by your lovelife status, then in my opinion, that's really a pretty limited state.
Just chill, be zen, and keep those thoughts from goin bad. :)
(I think I just made the same point that bel did, but she did it better)

Also add to the list to get you through Chrissy when single:
If spending any time with family, drop VERY unsubtle hints to them beforehand that you DO NOT want to talk about your lack of Significant Other and you do not under any circumstance want to be 'set up' with any 'nice young boys or girls' they know off.
From experience, nothing is more painfull than the grilling from mum, aunty AND grandma as to why i haven't found a nice young man to settle down with. The only thing that is worse, is when aunty gives the guy who does her tax my HOME phone number - so we 'can get to know each other a little better!!!! :< (A freak doesn't even start to come close)
Actually scrap spending any time with families over chrissy. Fuck all your couple friends off and do those stupid things you've always wanted to do. Every time i look at my new B&W images i smile at such a more positive and productive way to spend chrissy.

^^^ Werd to that Slingshot! My god! If i get one more of my relatives/parent's friends askingme why i haven't found a 'nice young chap to bring around for x-mas' then i amd going to SCREAM!
AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Another christmas don't is to spend time with your couple and single friends who decide to invite a guy who comes on to you every time he gets drunk and spends the evening trying to convince you as to why you should go out with him... it's a downer, believe me...

Actually here's one for the girls...
I met a wikkid chick at a bar (I know I know) and she was very hot. We talked, danced, snogged and generally got on really well. We both wanted the same thing, just some fun and a no strings attached type of relationship. Anyways, I didn't have a pen or a mobile so couldn't get her number...so she got mine. BUT she never called! Am I a dumbass for expecting her to call? Is it too much to ask? I don't really mind now, but at the time I was kinda upset.
Part of the reason is that she asked me if I was going to Sci Fi, and I said no. So she said that I had to because it was her birthday. So I said OK, I'll be there. She didn't believe me and led me to believe this was a test...if I am not there then I am a lying pig like all the rest of her ex boyfriends. So I go out the next day and buy a ticket.
Am I a chump?
Really?
Your thoughts oh wise women of the world. I would really like to know why she didn't call.
DB

she didn't call you because she was peaking off her head at the bar
or
she is waiting to see if you really like her by turning up at sci fi, so if you've got your ticket you'd better be there ;)

/me sets up deck chair and gets comfy in da singles lounge

arrrggghhhh tell me about it. If my aunty asks me one my time "so do you have a man" I will .....probably smile meekly and say, no, no still single" then go home and watch bridget jones and get drunk on cheap wine and cry myself to sleep. nah, it aint that bad, but seriously, just cos my cousin has an endless run of boyfriends, doesn't mean the rest of us follow the same path.
I have been single for "insert a lot of years" and for the most part it hasn't been too rough. This last year though, I have really started to feel that having someone special would be nice. I finally feel that I have reached a point in my life where I am settled and happy with me and I want to share it!
either that or Im just gettin really toey :D

hi there folks, long time listener, first time caller,
this will make sense to someone out there i'm sure...but i met a girl the other week, got to be stupidly excited about a kiss goodbye...even better, she was up for meeting again a couple of days later for a great chat and.....wait for it, waaaaiiiit for it, that's right... i got another kiss, p'raps it's silly to get excited but it was a brilliant kiss, and left me with a butterflies in the stomach feeling of uncertainty of what happens from here.
time will tell, but it's certainly been nice so far
;)

spokeydokey: That's so fucking cute man. Its the kind of thing which you actually don't hear about that much these days. So... BEST OF LUCK! :) :) Oh, and welcome to the programme, listeners, this is spokeydokey!
Katmeow: I think the best thing about being a guy is that your relos don't give you stick if you don't turn up to a christmas thing with a girl attached to your arm. Either way, its not like I'd give a shit if they did anyways. ;)
Anyway!
Me = ZEN ZEN ZEN ZEN ZEN MOTHERFUCKER ZEN! HAPPY ASS BITCHCORE MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!
And Kitty, before you delete that, I'm still single. :)
Just that for some bizzare reason my life seems to have 'clicked' right now, and I'm absolutely loving it, not loving being single, just loving LIFE damnit, it rocks! :D :D :D
You could take this to read that I am one happy motherfuckin camper!
*shares the good vibes around*

!brad

*yanks onetwothreefour out of the wallowing*
*smacks him about a bit*
*dusts him off*
*feeds him painkillers*
Okay here's a few flakes of goldfish food for thought. Because frankly, life's far too fucking short to waste fucking about.
These have all been proven in my life, so they're indisputable!!! ;) (disclaimer, your life may be different)
"Only after you lose everything, are you free to do anything"
"You have to face the possibility that god does not like you, in all probablity he HATES you, but that's okay, you don't need him"
"This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time"
"You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake, you are the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We are all a part of the same compost heap"
Dig it!
Also, onetwothreefour, don't ever let other people's happiness get you down, man, if they're lucky, that's fucking mad, you know why? The more luck there is being spread around, the more chance its going to come your way.
As for me, well I believe firmly in making my own luck! :)

...and you alcoholic fruitcakes wonder why you're single. :p
J/K
I used to do the exact same thing. Next time I get my heart broken though, I'm taking a step up, drinking alone but in the dark corner of a pub somewhere so the whole world can see how miserable I am.

thankgod for raves and raving in general! I finally managed to dump a whole lot of baggage at Godspeed last night, and i'll be damned if i let it return to me! I'm just cruising through life at the moment - I'm happy as can be! I honestly don't need anyone to complete me - I am Misty, and content to be so. :D
All is good, but will be better when all my joints stop aching so much - damn dancing!! ;)

quote:
I honestly don't need anyone to complete me.
How true....reminds me of a Bjork lyric which impressed me the first time I heard it...
"How could I be so immature to think he could replace the missing elements in me. How extrememly lazy of me"
I just love it. And it got me to thinking and I gave myself this advice: Find yourself first. Then find soemone who has found themselves. Two whole people create a much stronger bond than two incomplete people.
I have become content with myself and accepted my faults, and recognised my talents and limitations. I wil be ecstatic when I find that other whole person, but I no longer feel that I need to be with someone to be happy.

That's one of the best quotes I've ever read!!! It's got me thinking about stuff now which is a good thing. :)
