Ooops! I wasn't specifically aiming those questions at you, miss apple, I was just throwing them out there.
But it is good that you answered. You seem pretty level about things and I agree with some of what you say.
As far as meeting people, let's say I am in the library photocopying something. A girl might come and use the machine next to me, and while we are both copying stuff, I might strike up a conversation with her for 10 minutes. If she seems decent and we have some pleasant banter, I'll ask for her phone number so I can give her a call.
If I don't ask her right then, odds are I will never see her again. So I will give her a chance. But as the date is ending, I will really think if I want to see her again. Usually not, because I have high standards and most girls don't meet my expectations.
I haven't been dating for 30 months, which means I might see a girl and talk to her, but I don't make an effort to ask her out.
My question to you is that if you don't date, do you just reject any guy who asks for your phone number? How is he supposed to get in touch with you? That's all I mean. Otherwise a guy would have to work in the same office as you, or be in the same church/synagogue as you....something where he sees you on a routine basis. It would be so hard to meet new people that way. I don't mean you need to go idly stand about waiting for elegible men to approach, but if you run into a guy in the grocery store, do you give him a chance?
