mixed signals i can understand, but never in my entire life have i met a girl who said no to a guy and secretly meant yes. I know you're kidding, but somethings i don't think should be kidded about...
Well this brings me to another problematic situation... where do you draw the line...?
I mean, sure, you can kid about no meaning yes now, but do you dare take it so far as to kiddingly suggest that that (as a premise to rape) makes rape ok?
I'm sure most people here can remember back a few years to the rapist who was let off because the judge agreed that Yes could mean no because the girl in question was wearing tight jeans.
I realise that it's all in fun, and i'm not getting offended or anything like that, but i think people should just be a tiny bit sensitive about making such jokes because you never know whose tender nerves you could be touching, and rape is probably amongst the most tender of all...
dimmo dont u have anything better to do besides post-whoring? perhaps you ought to diversify into other markets of whoring that would bring you some real cash and get u off the computer into the real world once a while.
let's get this clear: firstly, i dont need your permission to delete those frivolous and extraneous posts, and secondly, it is well within your own power to delete them as long as they are your own posts.
i am only making a public reminder lest you call for a lynch mob if a mod were to delete your one/two-liners without any warning.
Sure dimmo, but that confirms further the point i was trying to make - you obviously didn't think to make that connection, but i did. How many other people may or may not have made that connection and thought less of you as a direct result. I'mnot saying that you condone rape, or that you are a bad person. I am not flamming you. I mearly wished to make you understand that sometimes, without the context of the real world to clarify your meaning, your words can be misconstrued - intentionally as i have done above, or non-intentionally... as was the situation i was trying to make you more sensitive to...

If i am wrong for having done this, then i apologise...
Unfortunately people are often sensitive to certain issues. Some to that particular topic, some to others. It all depends on ones personal experience, and everyone is different.
People will continue to get upset as long as people have discussions (which is forever).
hmmmm... in my books no always means no. i guess if the relationship was strong and maybe a bit of domination was on the cards, that would be okay. i've heard it is a fantasy for some women to want to be dominated during sex... but i am sure this is not going to want to be entered into with a stranger, but more of a role-play.
/me quickly puts away the whips and chains...
and yeah, humour is the natural way of dealing with something that can be distressing. for example sometimes people when they are in shock or cannot handle grief they can burst into laughter. it is a primative instinct as i understand it, similar to chimpazees screaming. correct me if i'm wrong here. so poking fun at something like rape, even though it is probably one of the most awful acts that can be committed, is in some situations understandable i guess.
sydkiwi : thanks xoxox
cm : i wouldn't have the courage to take up stalking, if they looked at me for too long i'd get all embarassed and run away. i think at the rate i'm going in the long run i might end up getting stalked by some crazed "woman of the internet"... *shudders*
