(answered) Bluelight real time messaging system

I'm going to merge this with that thread.

There are absolutely no plans for getting bluelight an official chat room as it would be impossible to moderate without basically being a forum or having approval in real time which would require LOTS of mods officially from bluelight. So that won't happen anytime soon.
 
You kind of said it yourself, I'm with felix. We should focus on the core parts of this site, it may provide a bit of fun but I'm not sure how it furthers our mission. I certainly wouldn't be comfortable with moderators giving out drug advice over IRC.
 
Have you guys ever considered opening some free (for all, blue included) chat rooms?

I was thinking that this could be a cool idea to add to the friendly environment here. It seems like it could be kind of useful esp in the DarkSide thread discussions. It could be a cool place where some of us could go to chat amongst ourselves, our peers, and mods ect. It may seem like it would be a lot of work from a mods perspective, but youd be surprised how for the most part it would be autonomous and just in need of a moderator to deal with the big issues.. I have often thought how cool it would be to have some real time conversations with some of the guys here. Just a thought!
 
Right on, feel free to whack this thread then, I didnt see the other one. Thanks Tommyboy. I don't know how the hell you guys can stay on top of all the topics yall have floating around lol
