BLUELIGHT PRODUCTION CONTEST - Collective

i say give it another week. i know i got a new track ive been workin on i wanna post. and who knows if anyone will listen to it in the next 4 days. plus... i have no competition in the idm/experimental category. no fair
 
^^^^^looks like u win lol. its the same in the breaks bracket. there's only 1 other song and the styles between mine and his are like night and day. i was hoping matt harder and dante would put sumthin up there and make it interesting. i'm surprised by the lack of break songs. i'm also shocked that ppl are gonna post up newly produced songs and not just throw sumthin up they know is tested and true. the 2 songs i've posted have been played live over and over, and i've watched the reaction in the cypher. so i know they work. many times the song u've just made feels like its ur best song u've ever made. but over time as the "newness" fades, it doesn't have the lasting power of ur best stuff. just my thoughts. looking forward 2 more songs going down. if nothing comes about this, atleast i have a few songs up on soundclick now; and i've been able to share them w/ ppl on other sites.
 
I tihnk that we should maybe just have the judges pick the top five tracks period then and have the people vote on a best one two and three of those five since we don't have that many entries . . . I have a feeling that if we extend the deadline that there really won't be too many more entries, to tell you the truth . . .
 
If we're going to do this, how about we score each one out of ten in a couple of categories... production quality, the 'anthem' factor etc.

how about us judges collectively choose 3 finalists, do a poll for the them, (the winner still gets one vote) and after that we(judges) all vote and decide a winner.

since we are going to group all the entry's together, i think the only two catagory's we should judge are
Production Quality &
Originality.
Any other catagories(IMO)would be a little too specific to certain genres. i.e you couldnt judge a downtempo track on 'dancefloor sensibility' etc.

so......?
