If you want to have a meet up and you obviously do as you started the thread then organise it yourself 8)

Why do you think I've asked people who are interested to email me? Then those that bother can have some input.

I can finalise the meet, advertise it, and then everyone else just has to turn up if they want to. What's hard to understand about that? Too much fun over the holiday period mate?
 
I'm just saying that I bet when you check your mail, you won't have any that are about the meet up, I may be totally wrong myself.

Nothing hard to understand about your intentions, they are good, I just think you are being overly optimistic if you think that you will be getting floods of emails, when the meet up and locations and stuff are being discussed over and over in this thread already.

I also had no fun over the holiday period :|

oh, I'm not saying I don't want a meet up, just saying it is unlikely that owen's inbox will be full of emails from people on here.

I'm up for a meetup in Manc, even if it is just a small one, there are at least 3 bluelighters living in the manc area that I know of that I would like to meet, and that includes you doomed2pain, so even a meetup of 4 bluelighters in manc, a small one would be nice.

I think this thread is more intended to arrange some ultimate mega meetup with like 20-30 people which IMO is unlikely to happen unless someone has some amazing organisation skills.

That's got to be the best quote of the thread :) Ironic that someone that doesn't like people is trying to organise a meetup :)

I'll come to manc or brizzle or london, all within a couple of hours of me. If there are 3 separate ones, I'll come to all three, but not until late feb/early march when I can afford it though, might be able to scrape enough together to get to one meet in january if anything gets sorted soon.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of people either, mainly because most people in the real world are cunts, or because they are so closed minded or up their own arses that they are not worth my time. The majority of the people on this site though are not cunts and are not closed minded and not up their own arses so I have a lot of time for them and would be happy to meet them.
 
I've been slacking my BL duties for a couple of weeks so I've not read all this thread yet, just want to say a meet up sounds great and I'd be willing to help out with transport and logistics from the Scottish direction if required.
 
Mugz, I like to watch I guess cause believe me I've been reading a lot, just rarely had an impulse to add something..

People fascinates me but that doesn't necessarily equals liking. Indeed, with most I don't have anything to agree or for that matter argue about -- observation appears to be more rewarding than a provocation.

But here @ Bluelight I feel cosy, and perhaps bit hungry for some genuine junkie communication too ;)
 
As predicted, as good as none of you cunts have even bothered to make the effort to send me an email. Fuck me junkies are useless, reminds me why I'm getting out of all this shit.

There will be TWO meetups. Provisionally one in Manchester in late January/early February, and one in Bristol in mid February. The format of each meet will be a daytime meetup in a park/pub something like that (probably a pub or inside venue due to the time of the year) and then move on to some sort of club/music event afterwards where everyone can get off their face on ecstasy pipes. These locations have been chosen because I've never been to Manchester and I want a particular person to be able to attend,and because I have friends in Bristol and it's my thread and I'll do as I like, so ner. They are also both well known as good cities to go out in and if you can't be arsed to get to one of those two cities then you're just a lazy cunt wherever you are in the country (discounting northern Scotland, but hey, compromises have to be made).

I'm going to have a scout about for suitable events around said dates in said cities, feel free to make suggestions. The final decision will be made within the next ten days. There is to be no suggestion of trance (unless it is of the hard or acid variety) or indie events of any sort. If you want to listen to that shit you can do it on your own terms, I've already been to Ibiza this year and that's enough trance for a fucking lifetime.

Suggestions of techno/hardcore techno/gabber/acid/metal/DnB/hip hop/jungle and ska are likely to be met with the most enthusiasm. Oh, and no fucking dubstep either, no one plays any of the good shit.
