(answered) Bluelight IRC channel

I just noticed the tinychat thing today and joined the chatroom, I was immediately asked what my screenname was and before I could finish typing I was banned from the room. I rejoined asked why and they said basically to f off you dont belong here. So to the OP I suggest you be careful and understand its not friendly or run by BL so dont let it ruin your experience here.

The Lounge, TinyChat Lounge or BL forum, is not for the thin-skinned (or slow-typing). ;)

Yeah, tough world out there, man. Haha. In my experience, you get more serious people to talk with just from generating positive, thoughtful discussion in the focus / community forums.
 
I think that most people would have better luck by starting off posting in the social threads, and then going into the tinychat rooms after becoming familiar with the regulars. Most of the forums have social threads, either stickied atop the forums (like this one), or usually on the first page of forums (like this one) since they are usually actively posted in.

The Lounge tinychat is very much like the Lounge, so if you haven't lurked in that forum enough to get a feel for it, then posting in their tinychat isn't going to go over well.

don't take it personally. the lounge tc room can be moderated by bitter lounge participants who vocally criticise lounge staff for being nazi moderators then behave even worse when somebody hands them a tc banstick. it's called hypocrisy and it's risible. so laugh it off.

i tend to agree with tommyboy. ease in at first. all communities can be a little insular by their nature...
