Firstly, I love Bluelight. It's a great forum. Full of knowledgable and fun people and it's not hampered by stupid and pointless rules. The reason I mention this, is that another 'popular' 'drugs-forum', insists on the use of SWIM and other ridiculous pointless pseudonyms to protect anonymity.

They insist upon it for legal issues, but this is clearly pointless and offers no real legal protection. So my question is this - why do other forums insist on this gay little SWIM nonsense, when we here all stand up to our own responsibility and speak about OURSELVES.

I'm an opioid addict, have been for years, and I am not talking about a pet cat or someone who isn't me - I'm talking about ME.

Haha. And for villain, I already know why they instituted the policy, my point is that it must be fallacious if we can get away with not using a SWIM pseudonym, why can't they?

I'm sure they can get away with it but they just never changed their policy if/when they did research and saw that it would not protect them in court. Bluelight being a harm reduction forum compared to these other forums that just talk about getting high or whatever may have something to do with it as well since we are less inclined to talk about doing illegal activities since we are more focused on safer administration of drugs that we already possess.

Either way, it is pointless to speculate why other drug forums have rules that vary from some of the rules here at bluelight. They do their thing, and we do our thing.
