Dear all,
Registering wasn't much of an achievement, but I'm proud to finally be one of you. Bluelight, for me, epitomises the fruits borne of knowledge sharing, and is the sort of thing bound to flourish in a world uncertain about what altered states are about. Drugs are illegal, and we are the underground, but it's not too shabby down here, and I'll miss it when it's gone. The people we want to be part of the conversation are already in it; a debate on these things with everyone involved would be far less interesting, and we'd be wading through the mires that muddy the signal in more popular domains. I'll feel as if among friends here.
This I say as one who is inexperienced with drugs, although I feel I've explored altered states to some degree (particularly through music and cannabis). My interests lie in neuroscience (my background), consciousness, dynamical systems and statistical physics, the future of humanity, and more earthly passions like music, the natural world and adventure. I like the more scientifically rigorous aspects of Terence McKenna's thinking. Anyway, I'm sure I'll find like minds and good company here.
Thanks to you all,
Jonny
