Blue specks in Mallinkrodt 30mg roxicodone (M30's)

In your opinion, are the blue specks in the 30mg oxycodones by Mallinckrodt the good stuff? They look so magical, i cant imagine them not being the actual oxycodone. Seems to be true because i have done an informal study where i first examine the amount of specks before ingesting and seems to me that the ones with more , hit harder. could be that pesky placebo rearing its ugly head in my business. what do you guys think?

I can guarantee you that some pills that appeared to have more blue specks did not hit harder because they contained more oxycodone. I'm not sure what inactive ingredient the blue colouring agent represents though I would assume it is just dyed blue for branding purposes.

I'll send this over to BDD and see if anyone is willing to look up the ingredients to roxicodone for you.

FDA regulations ensure that oxycodone (or any active ingredient) content is very consistent. Certain pills don't have any more, its in your head.

The 5 mg Roxicodone tablet contains inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose and stearic acid. The 15 and 30 mg tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose; sodium starch glycolate; corn starch; lactose; stearic acid; D&C Yellow No. 10 (15 mg tablet); and FD&C Blue No. 2 (15 mg and 30 mg tablets).

The FD&C Blue No. 2 likely is mixed into one of the inactive ingredients before everything is mixed together so that substance stands out as darker blue in the final heterogeneous mixture.

I want to try a roxycodone but I'm scared I'll get sick. Everyone says the first time they try they get really sick... I take hydrocodone 10s here and there and feel nothing and I took 15 last night a didnt feel much...I always liked percocets but I havent seen one of those in years. Did you get sick the first time you tried?

^percocet and roxy are the same drug (oxycodone) except percocet also contains acetaminophen.

If you normally enjoy 10mg of percocet, take 2/3 of a 15mg roxy or 1/3 of a 30mg, etc.
