Blowmonkeys backyard bushes '06

Stuff is growing like cabbage, it's grown quite a bit in those few days. The 3 OB's I planted have popped the soil, 1 was having trouble getting it's root out of the casing, so it's stunted somewhat, but the other 2 are going great.

Damn the crappy photo's. When they're going outside I'll have to take some pics with the good camera. This'll have to do for now.

DAMN i am jealous!

I wish I was growing right now *sniff*

Outdoor is sooooo much fun too! You do anything to setup your ground?

I wanna hear about your garden!

Nice. Now that overgrow is gone

Holy shit, that sucks.. I had no idea, I learned so much from overgrow.. I stopped checking it out recently.

If i wasnt on house arrest I would get some of my current pictures but I dont have access to it....

Have you been hibernating or something? :D

I re-use my soil, from indoor and outdoor grows. I only get rid of the top-soil, the first 5 cm's or something. The rest can easily be used if left alone for a while, I also throw in some compost. There isn't much to say about the garden though. I've got 4-5 places in the backyard where they can sit in the full ground, still have to clear 2 spots which are covered in raspberry bushes. The rest will have to go in 25-50 litre pots. You'll see in a month and a half or so.

Because it's a small set-up and I don't think it's needed nor do I really wanna spend money on a metal halide when a HPS does the job perfectly.

Meanwhile, I checked on the little stunted OB seedling today.. It's coping, but I noticed something strange about it. It's a little mutant. I forget how it's called, a tetraploid or something like that, but it's got a set of 3 leaves instead of 2. Pretty cool, I hope it survives.

It just popped into my head, it's called a trifoliate.

Blowmonkey, as OG is no longer in existence, and I can't bring myself to join another cultivation site, this will probably be the only grow report I see for a long time. What I'm trying to say, is thanks.

I'm pretty sure "trifoliolate" refers to a single leaf's shape, not the plant's leaf arrangement, if that's what you were describing.

If I understand you right, then I had one of my Skunk clones mutate in the same way. Three stems at each node instead of two. I've come across the term for this mutation before, but it eludes me at the moment. Very cool, but unfortunately I didn't get to see how such a plant would turn out, as I was cloning for a mate who went on to let this particular plant die. I would imagine they'd have the potential to turn into very bushy plants. Here's a pic of the now deceased mutant.

A trifoliate definitely refers to a plant with 3 leafs instead of the usal 2. It's too bad I can't make a clear picture of it yet, it's still too small, but you'll see in a couple of days. I also noticed something strange about my biggest OB, it's got a set of branches starting BELOW the first set of leaves. It's getting freaky in there. =D

Have seen this before a few times.. makes for a very bushy plant. Not a bad thing if your going to scrog it! ;) Good luck with the girls btw :)

hey blowmonkeym trifoliate refers to leaf type,

clover has trifoliate leaves, cannabis has palmate leaves

possibly the leaves are aranged in whorls of 3, i'm pretty sure it is,

Interesting... I also have a plant which has three sets of leaves/branches. From the very beginning grown from a seed, every time the plant would normally split in two direction, this one split in three. Now it's a large female which is progressing very nicely! I very much expected it to be male, both because of the size and because it is, well, somewhat of a mutant!
