Let’s say a friend has a pretty high tolerance and has been chewing his OCs (to defeat the time-release mech.). Some of his other friends, with little or no tolerance, get off by insufflating OCs (some of them also blow percs too so that doesn't mean much to him <"dude, I drank 10 beers and blew 2 percs. I was fucked"> My friend expects that the OC will be more active if snorted, thus getting more out of the expensive fuckin things but is worried that because of the time-release snorting them could be less effective. Is blowing OC worth it?
 
When you crush an OC, you are breaking the time release. So, Railing OC would be effective. This is my preference to consuming the drug.. I think you lose effectivness when eating the pill.

I totally disagree. I think trying to snort it loses about 25% of it's potency per mg compared to taking it orally.
On several occassions I've tried 20mgs orally versus snorted and snorting it usually feels only to be about 15mgs.
The advantage to snorting it is the quick onset of the high. I'll either shoot Oxy for an immediate onset, or I'll eat it for nice long ride of a high, but I refuse to snort it. I think it's a waste.
I had some other friends that used to like to snort it as well and I told them about what I thought, that the high was slightly better and definantly longer when they were taken orally. After trying it, my friends end up agreeing.
I think most of the reason people like to snort pills is purely some psychological thing they pick up in mid/high school where they don't think "legal" drugs you can get from your doctor are cool or will get you high, and you start out learning that you can snort ritalin.

I don't have any experience with oxy's, but I do agree with you about the appeal of crushing a pill and snorting it. When I roll I almost always end up snorting at least half a pill just cause it's fun.
 
Putting shit up your nose in many cases is a shitty idea. Swallow your pride, swallow your pill (or powder).

I know this may sound a little immature but shut the fuck up please if you don't know what you’re talking about. Too everyone else (whom were helpful) thanks for the tips.
 
What kind of dumbfuck response is that? I know what I'm talking about and snorting Oxycontin may look 'kewl' to your friends in class but it's not necessarily more effective, and is therefore pointless.
