Does anyone actually know the answer to this question?
When this topic comes up in conversation/practise I often hear people who seem to think it works wonders arguing with those that say fighting the effects of one drug by introducing another is inherently wrong simply because it sounds like a bad idea, yet both attitudes reveal an underlying ignorance. Drugs are the most common way to deal with drug overdoses, heroin users get narcan, those suffering from amphetamine psychosis get benzos, hallucinogen induced freakouts can be treated with thorazine or other anti-psychs.
The truth is that drugs can and are extremely helpful to combat unwanted effects from other drugs. Problem is that your average raver has no idea whether or not amphetamines can be helpful in such a situation, regardless of whether they're arguing for or against it.
I know I'd much rather not give someone anything when I'm unsure as to whether it harms or helps, but it'd be nice to know the truth, as for all I know speed might have saved lives in such situations.
GHB IS GOD ---- You say it wrecked the scene? If you'd been partying for longer than a year or two, you realise that GHB IS THE SCENE!!
