Apparently due to low blood pressure or some such shyte my doc' is making me get some blood tests taken...

Herein lies the problem... will these tests automatically show MDMA, speed etc in my bloodstream, or do the pathologists have to physically tests for them. Or even worse still... do they look for traces of these substances anyway?
What if such substances do show up... hypocratic oath prevents anything happening... right?

hmmm from what i understand pathologist only look for what they are looking for, know what i mean?
MDMA or amphetamines are a very specific test, it wouldnt just show up if they are checking your red blood cell levels or whatever...
pathology isn't cheap, they don't do a bunch of tests they dont need to, for free...
i honestly wouldnt worry about it.

id be more worried about your doc tryin to stick some kind of probe up your but dood.

ahhhh...natural light, get it off me...get it off me!

I went thru a similar paranoia about 2 years ago. I asked our family doctor if substances used previously would show up in blood tests for glandular fever. His response was NO, it is very costly to test for drugs in blood, and for drugs to show up in your blood, they have to be specifically tested for.

Just understand that doctors are for YOU. They will not go reporting anything to the police, your parents, friends or the man at the pub about your health.
I would have no qualms about asking the doctor drug related questions. Am thinking in fact to go ask about a blood test to see if I'm balancing my vit's and min's properly due to the E usuage I've gone through in the last few months.

Hmmmm - after searching with just two little words ("blood" and "test") i came up with many threads... here are just a few

But if you couldn't be stuffed reading them, the gist goes something like this...
MDMA and other such amphetamines are completely out of your system within 96 hours - so if the blood test is taken more than 96 hours after you had your last pill, then even if they DID test for these substances, they would find no trace.

I wouldn't even worry about it mate, they have to be looking for it from what I gather. My brother had a set of tests done 4 or 5 days after having an MDMA cap....nothing was said about any drugs in his system by the doctor so you don't have anything to worry about.

Hmmm...Yeah nothing was said.....But the test results were probably sent to the D.A.G, a ministerial committee set up by the Howard government to receive GP blood samples and monitor substances found for reporting purposes.

You dont have anything to worry about. I have an awemome doctor, I can tell him anything. I have spoken to him about E and Speed usage. Do you know what he said, He said that he did speed when he was in Uni and also not to worry to much about it as you are more likely to have complications due to people smoking around you and drinking alcohol.
The key is moderation.
