I don't plug much at all. Maybe 10 times in my entire life. Anyway the last night I plugged some dilaudid and there was some blood on the syringe. I'm in no pain so I thought nothin of it, but just now the same thing happened. I've been pretty constipated the past few weeks and yesterday and today I took pretty glorious shits. Should I be concerned?

Yup, you should. Make an apt with your doctor asap. If you have three consecutive stools with blood in them if might be a good idea to go to the hospital. Certainly, at that point you should absolutely see a doctor.

Why have you been so constipated?

BTW, how do you get blood on the end of your syringe? I mean, I guess it sounds obvious enough, but I'm curious... I can't imagine pulling one out of my butt after I've plugged and somehow there be blood (clotted?) sticking to it. But whatdaIknow...

The first time it was darker. That's a good question how the blood made it out because it was still liquid. There wasnt any noticeable blood in my stools and the tissue was completely clean if you get me. There are a few cracks in the syringe and it was a bit scratchy. I'm assuming it's due to this and I guess I should've stated It in my original post but it just seemed pretty stupid to use it twice... Is the tissue in there THAT sensitive? It doesn't hurt.
It was a VERY small amount of blood, a couple drops.

you took the needle off the syringe right ?

LOL.

I'm guessing it was because the syringe you used was old and gross.

Use a sterile syringe everytime, I plug everytime with a new rig, so I go through a few syringes a day. A tiny amount of blood is not uncommon, but it's still something to mention to your doctor if you have concerns.

Have you had problems with hemorrhoids before?

If you have blood in your stools and youve been fairly constipated of late it is prob piles..or roids..but blood in your stools is also an indicator of a more serious problem...especially if you are male and 40 yrs+...You need to get it checked out either way mate....

^yup, a little is more than enough in most cases. lube is ulta useful: a must for every pantry ;) kindabutnotreallyjoking

I prefer auqaglide but this is just me

Haha yes it was an oral syringe, so no oral syringe, and I used lube. Haha tha would be rough. Is it really a big deal to push it off and see if the problem continues with a new syringe? Moneys really tight and I'm biking to the doc if I go.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. It is important to use a new syringe, you can't be using one that is scratched or has cracks.

I use 1-3mL syringes, they're tiny and great for plugging.

I see the issue. You REALLY should be using an insulin syringe with the needle taken off. Oral syringes are waaaay to big to be comfy or even as effective when it comes to plugging ime. Plus, their tip (does this sound right) is curved in a way that I could totally imagine it pulling a little somethinsomethin out of there.

Insulin syringes are super cheap and you can get a number of them for $5-10. I know, it's money, but with out them you shouldn't be plugging, especially with what you have atm.

Sounds like it's most likely an issue with using a really large diameter "syringe." Try to hold off on any more attempts until, FIRST you check your stools to make sure there isn't any blood in them and SECOND get new, proper, insulin syringes (which you'll then remove the tips from yourself).

The syringe you're using is an oral one kinda like this, right?

Where as you want an insulin syringe like this (but with needle removed):

Some oral syringes are easy to plug with, but TPD is right, insulin syringes are ideal. The oral syringes I have are actually the same diameter as an insulin syringe. They are NOT the curved syringes, they look like this:

Tip: save money like me by buying boxes of 100 or 1000.

I use a 3ml rig. and spit as lube. kinky huh ? ( srs )

and i use one at least 5-10 times before i toss it. The rigs I use for plugging are just ones that I already used for IV. kinda like recycling.

Huh, I guess they do make those too. When I think of one I always think of the oral syringe they gave me when I have my wisdom teeth out. Like 1.25" diameter... doable, but not nearly as easy or efficient as one with a 0.25" or less diameter

Alright thanks for the help guys. Yea I feel like an idiot ATM haha. A little embarrassing

I've never seen the curved syringes in real life, but there is no way I would plug with the kind your talking about. That makes me cringe.

Not at all, you're not alone. Sometimes when I plug I'll see a slightly red tinge on the syringe, a little bit is normal. I have had problems with minor hemorrhoids in the past though, and have been told this is normal.
