blogs how to and guides

i've made a couple of custom pages about how to do various things within blogs. i want to create another one explaining about moderating comments and one about blog subscriptions. is there anything else?

here is what i made so far, what do you guys think? i tried to make them as idiot proof as possible.

an overview of blog settings

 

you kick some serious ass! Those are straightforward and as idiot proof as can be. I'm thinking we could append what you have to ocean's 'Blogs Guidelines' or should we keep them separate?

that is a good idea!

i can include keyboard shortcuts which is rather useful across the board. like telling painenduser how to post using just the keyboard.

not sure when i will write the other two guides.

i was going to today but i sort of created some drama with my husband. we don't fight a lot and when we do it kinda blows up cause lots of little things come to the surface (which means turning ant hills into mount everest). i am mentioning this because i don't know how much i will be around until we get things sorted. which can be a few hours or a few days

First of all: thanks for writing up the guides! Blogs is different enough from the rest of the site to be confusing to most, and there is little if any documentation on how things work. Great idea!

Secondly: I hope that things get worked out with you and your husband soon. Take all the time you need, of course-- RL trumps BL, especially when it comes to relationship stuff.

Finally: Sorry that I wasn't able to check in on the weekend. I'll be around more now, and will probably start looking for a laptop of some sort before going anywhere again. Trying to mod on a phone = pain in the ass, so I just abandoned the site for a couple of days.

 

my husband and i have worked things out for the most part. we don't really fight often, so when we do everything tends to explode. little day to day things that are never an issue suddenly turn into ww3. its prolly not the most effective way of dealing with things, but meh

modding from a phone sucks. i can easily unapprove and report posts, but commenting on anything or sending PMs is a bitch. you can tell i am posting from a phone if my posts suddenly start having capital letters appear in the proper places.

after my unexpectedly long vacation, i am back to work tomorrow. so expect me around only in the evenings
