Bluelighter
I always remind myself how lucky I am
Seeing you, feeling you, being with you
A bright flame, melting the edges of depression
A wasted life, suddenly turning to mist
There's always something that pulls me back
Back from the cliff edge of my soul
I'll tell myself it's you, and what you do
Savour your company, like a drop of water
In endless desert, and yet there's so much more
That you could give and never will
So we have our perfection in those moments
And no time else, we think that's all we need
Your lips, open wide and soft, the medusa
Of secuction, grasping softly, your claws sheathed
Velvet paws, your smoothness only skin deep
Yet that's all I want, and all I need
More, and I'd be restless, confused, stunned
With affection, so I endure, as do we together
Bright lights, pretty colours on the highways of
Each others lives, revealed during day, yet beautiful
At night, mystery to sweeten the pot
Turning my stomach, sugar, oh how I depend on you
An addiction that we, in some misguided innocence
We'll call it love, and let it lie
6 senses of the word, and more to come
Resting in your arms, the sickness of the world
Abates within, and dying in its last flare of light
Reveals the souls we fought to hide
Naked to each other, and from there it continues
Only time will live to tell the tale
---------
Regardless of what you think, I love this one with all my heart, it was written in a bit of a blurr, but turned out to be decent.
Life's a big fat mystery, and isn't it strange.
