Blacking out from nitrous

SO tonight i was pulling lungs and decided to do nitrous too, after a lung i filled the bowl for later and took one whippet in one breath blew it out, took the second and then tripped for a about 1-1.5 minutes, came back and took the third.

At this point i blacked out or was tripping mad balls i don't completely remember, but when i came to, i had my lung half pulled with the bowl burnt a little.

i dont remember any of this, reaching over and grabbing it let alone pulling it, so i guess im just wondering if anyone has ever had something like this happen to them while on nitrous?

Are you inhaling oxygen along with the nitrous? If you don't get a breath of air with it you could deprive your brain of oxygen leading to you passing out.

yeh ive heard of people getting blue lips then passing out if they completely deprive themselves of oxygen, i usually keep around 30% of my breath when im doing balloons

Is pulling lungs = smoking weed?

Cannabis can lower your blood pressure. Nitrous causes vasodilation and also causes your blood pressure to drop. Lowered blood pressure will cause your heart to beat faster to get the right amount of oxygen to all parts of your body (most importantly your brain). This is called reflex tachycardia and is why your heart will race a bit when smoking cannabis.

If you are taking big rips off a bong, then big rips off a balloon, your blood pressure will drop and you will not get enough oxygen to the brain and you will pass out... like you did. Like others said here, make sure to allow about 30% of your lungs to fill with room air with every hit of nitrous.

It's not a general anesthetic, however, its a dissociative anesthetic. The airway doesn't need to be supported and doesn't require an anesthesiologist to administer. Nitrous oxide is for light sedation and anxiolysis during medical/dental procedures. For safe usage, nitrous should be administered with a minimum of 30% Oxygen so the patient doesn't go hypoxic and pass out.

Don't be an ass dude, this is harm reduction, leave it there.

It's called fishing out. And yes, it happens when you pull repeatedly for too long, and often times it can be hilarious to watch one "fish out".

albiet not recommended for those who value their brain cells and dignity.

i take a hit blow it out and then a breath of air or two, then the second whippet, the third wasnt for a couple minutes.

psyke around here its greening out, but thats not what happened, it wasnt from smoking too much weed.

blue lips is caused from taking the nitrous directly from a whippet because its too cold, im taking them from a whip cream dispenser and dont run into that problem. i was never depriving my brain of oxygen, i held in the nitrous for about the same i would for a bong hit so i cant see that being the problem with breaths of air intbetween.

Mesial that makes sense but i didnt really pass out, because when i came to i had been starting to pull another lung, so i did it while i was blacked out thats what confuses me

I've forgotten a lot of nitrous experiences, it definitely messes with my short term memory, and weed does too of course so probably not too surprising to lose a few seconds here and there.

Yea oxygen is pretty important. Once a friend told me the proper technique was huffing the balloon until I couldn't anymore. Suffice to say I fished out onto the concrete and got a concussion. I didn't come to until I was standing again, I probably lost about 3 minutes and 3 thousand brain cells hah.

was doing whippets on RC's for my frst time wth both....took one and got the craziest rush felt like i just got injected wth every drug and curled up nto the fetile postion and all saw was static....ept tellng myself t will ware offf....only lasted 30 secs but felt longer crazy shit
