So several days ago I stupidly shot a full bag of black tar heroin from a differnt batch than normal. Now I expected it to be at least twice as strong as the normal stuff I use but boy was I wrong. Strangely enough I got no rush, but effects built up over like 1/2 to 1.5 hours until I was at a point which was pretty clearly dangerous.
I have had to be narcaned out of respiratory depression before so I know what I am talking about.
Anyway it took almost 6 HOURS of walking with the aid of a trully wonderfull (this should be par for the course for drug users...but for a drug free person to do this for you without complant judegement or blame is truly exceptional) friend keeping me awake plus vivarin and constant smoking. After these 6 hours I was finally able to sit down and nod out normally. About 14+ hours I was still kinda nodding out (but was actually quite anxious...something that happens to me sometimes during the rush but not usually during the comedown).
The exceptionally long duration and slow onset made me think it might be some other opiate (like methadone). On the other hand it is quite possible I SCed/IMed the shot by accident (I may have had some coke in the syringe so it isn't unreasonable that I might not have noticed...and I was still on a very minor dose from earlier). If that is the case that accident probably saved my life. On the other hand it was a big ball O tar so this seems somewhat unlikely to me.
Yes I am much more carefull now, I am just curious as to what is a likely explanation for this effect.
