It's not just you TLB, I didn't mean to offend you specifically. It's this whole attitude of everyone against the police/BLM protests, where it seems like people are always trying to make it seem more justified than it is each time. With Floyd, it was "he has a history of drug use, and he just bought something with a fake $20 bill". Like, these flimsy reasons for murder, that somehow make it less bad and attempts to show that there isn't really a problem severe enough to justify prolonged protests. At least that's what it seems like the angle is when people state these various flimsy justifications for making specific murders less wrong.
Maybe this particular case is not like many of the other recent ones, and she was shooting at cops, I don't know, but I see this pattern of conversation happening every time.
And yes it would absolutely be a tragedy if any of the cops were shot, too. There's a complex issue, and I feel bad for both sides, which are mostly each made up of scared people trying to survive. But the victim-blaming rhetoric doesn't sit well with me.
