BL Romances

I've seen a couple people get married from this site, attended a couple weddings, and even was there when one BLer proposed to his girlfriend (they met before BL but were both BLers)

puts a smile on my face :)

I was in relations with another BLer a long time ago. she was a sweetheart, but sadly during that time of my life I only cared about living on the edge... thankfully, we're still close friends and I plan on attending her wedding in the near future

Well, my boyfriend and I met on BL and it's the best relationship I've ever been in so I tend to agree with the whole 'it's easier to be honest with someone you met online' thing. So many people on this website hook up, it's insane. Plus it's rather practical knowing from the start that you're both into drugs.

Concur on every point made Pagey, I'm so grateful I met you, and I love how we seem to be made for one another.

You've made me the happiest I've even been, and I know the feeling is reciprocated, which is the best feeling ever

(lovestruck rant over)

I'm surprised so many of your experiences were positive. We are drug addicts, after all.
I had a 8 month relationship with a BLer. She flew halfway across the country to start anew with me.
We ended up shooting lots and lots of heroin. And having lots of rough sex. Otherwise it was awful.
Still friends, tho!!

Drug addicts are actually the minority. Most BLers I have met are drug users, usually with jobs and a balanced life far removed from being a drug addict. You obviously have to make that jump from interweb friend to real life meet up if you want a relationship to develop, and personal experience has shown that the unreliable nature of some people means even that initial meeting is a stretch too far.

^I believe we must have met a different subset of BLers. Ha.
It probably has to do with that I'm a heroin user and there's not many heroin chippers. Or if they or me were/are chipping, the coming together of them and me was at least partially motivated by using together. And has in a couple cases been the catalyst for a full blown relapse. IOW's it started for the wrong reasons to begin with.
I do understand your point and can recognize that meeting up with the recreational folk would/could be a very different experience.
I shouldn't paint with such a broad brush.

My IRL BL friends have been almost all awesome. Just the romantic attempts have been problematic.

Moved across the country to be with my current BL boyfriend, and even lived in a house with a bunch of other Bluelighters here. We kept our relationship off the site until I had made it to Atlanta and made sure it would work, especially since we were both mods at the time. Gotta say, the shock after we 'came out' was totally awesome.

It will be four years next year :)

I can see that. This site's membership is eclectic and varied though. If we were allowed a thread describing great BL fallouts it would be off the chart. My favourite one is the BL who pissed in another BLer's mouthwash. Plenty of shady deals gone astray also. I'm sure there has to be a couple of narcs too.

In all complete honesty, I would never want anything to do with a woman that was into drugs, ESPECIALLY so deeply that they were a bluelighter.... just sayin....

how hypocritical

+1
