BL Parents

I probably don't count, as I dont have any kids or partner with kids, but I am my best mate's daughter's godfather, and I often look after her as she's only 8 months old, I really adore her, so my mate can go out with her mates etc if the father gone bush in the Army... She doesnt take drugs when she has the daughter around, or when there's no sober trusted person to look after just in case if something happens.... I often look after her every week for few hours to whole day..... she really opened my eyes about children... I used to hate children, I couldnt tolerate babies or children in my sights or in the same room, but since the baby arrived.... whoa... my mates often tell me I have gotten a lot more calmer, more relaxed... even the child isnt mine! is this odd?8(

I often have to tell my mate that she's a great mum, seem she's gets bit paranoid about what people think of her because she like to have bit of weed and some pills like 1-2 times a month... I try to tell her to laugh them off because she has the proof! The Baby is healthy, fed, well clothed and very loved! ;)

Urbanhog %)

thanks haste and Urbanhog :)

the thing is Urbanhog...sometimes i think us parents wether we do or dont used drugs need some re- assurance sometimes of our parenting skills....after all we are doing the most important job in the world (raising another person) imo so i guess sometimes we do need to hear the 'hey your doing ok'

cheers guys :)

I have a six month old and I stopped taking drugs about 2 years ago except for drinking. Drugs won't enter our house anymore and thats more so from Hubby! He couldn't stop me though when in labour - unlimited nitrous! =D

^^^

Six month old hey, I remember those sleepless smelly days =D

omg so do i! and i'm never having any more kids because i just dont want to go back to the whole nappies, bottles, prams, feeding etc but it was nice when it was happening 8( lol

Well just to make you feel better and know that there are other mums out there that still take drugs i thought i'd post.

I'm a mother of a 3yr old boy and still enjoy taking E and occasionally other drugs, as does my partner, but like everyone else we do this away from our child and try to do it as responsibly as possible (tests etc).

I guess I've been lucky with the people i know ... I've never had anyone berate me for my drug use because i'm a mum.

I wonder how many people who frown upon E gave up drinking, smoking etc when they had their child(ren).

As long as you are comfortable with what you are doing and are taking as many precautions so that you are as safe as possible and your child is as unaware as posssible then go for it, enjoy!

OH FINALLY!!! thankyou *hugs* someone who admits it...you dont know what this means to me now...i just posted in the 'what would make u give up e' thread before i read this and yes now i dont feel so alone in the matter *sigh of relief* :) i agree with you totally of course...i've just bene feeling a little paranoid 8)
