Hi BLers,
I've been lurking BL for a coupla months now, and am happy to be introducing myself finally. I'm (currently) an occassional IV Heroin user on a methadone program in the UK, but as with many, I've run the gauntlet of pretty much every street drug over the last 24 years (god, is it that long? - I've had drug workers who weren't born when I started using). I've never been too into prescription pharmaceuticals, but thats about it. They called it a slippery slope - I treated it like the water slide at the fun fair.
Anyhow, i'm not using much at the mo', though I know how quickly that can change, but I am having a hard time, and was drawn to BL not so much for info as for like-minded conversation and support. On top of this I hope others may benfit from my experience, and I have a modest level of technical knowledge through 3 years work in public health research (not all specifically drug related) and continue to proof-read post-grad and publication papers from toxicology departments.
Finally Hello to all other Greenlighters and BLs alike, and I hope to get to know many of you in the weeks to come.
PS: Mods - is there anywhere to publish poetry, random thoughts , gibberish or short stories that don't slip easily into the the normal threads?
