Bitter Tasting Acid and Stomach Cramps?

So I've taken LSD six times.

I was at a 3 day outdoor event this weekend, and decided to take some acid the second night. Me and my friends all took it, and it was VERY bitter and chemical tasting. We ended up not being able to stand the taste and swallowed it. I ended up taking two hits.

Throughout the whole trip, I would get terrible stomach cramps. Nearing the end of the night, they got so bad that I had the lay down. Sitting up or standing up made my stomach cramp so badly I couldn't stand it. My friends also said their stomachs were bothering them, but not as bad as mine was.

Do you think there was something wrong with it? Acid has never tasted like anything to me. My sister thinks rat poison, but I think that's ridiculous. What do you guys think? It was a very average trip, nothing special about it, but normal.

Possibly AMT. I have had acid like this before as my first trip. How long did it last for? My experience lasted about 6 or 8 hours.

DOx? Phens taste bitter and are said to cause stomach issues.

DOx is probably unlikely unless it was big 1x1" blotter and he probably would have had a very long trip. The taste does sound like it though.

It was either DOC or DOI or Bromo-Dragonfly. That's what the bitter taste was.

There are bromo tabs going around now.

Actually, I think maybe it was DOx.

It was a huge blotter. It was VERY thick, and cut in half into a triangle. But the triangle was about 1 inch.

And it was a very long trip. I took one at about 6 PM, and then another at about 12:30. I tripped all night, slept for a few hours, and woke up still tripping. I tripped(including come down) until about 10-11 AM.

My friend who took half a hit at 6 PM and another half at about 8 PM tripped until about 4:30 in the morning.

I've found even on normal blotter, the past few times I've done acid I've had muscle tension and stomach issues. Sometimes a weird feeling in my throat, almost like a heat or like I should have to cough or something. The tabs are usually bitter for like a few seconds.

Sorry, I'm not trying to hijack this thread at all! Just wondering if this is normal or something I somehow developed.

If I should start my own thread I will, I just figured while we were on the subject of not-so-legit LSD.. Haha.

That's not LSD unless it happened to be something with maybe ink on the blotter paper causing the effect.

Legit LSD gives the greatest body buzz in the world. Better than MDMA and I absolutely love rolling.


When you put the hit on your lounge it shouldn't taste bitter, at all! It actually doesn't "taste" like anything but you should feel the slightest almost unnoticeable yet completely distinct electrical charge type feel of synchronicity. Like it hits your tongue and you simply KNOW, not taste, that it is acid.

Not saying you guys had bad hits, maybe just weird blotter paper and because of that you are tasting something funny / bitter.

The inkt can be bitter tasting in some blotters even when it is just LSD, I can confirm this because we have testing facilities in my country where you can anonymously bring a sample of your drugs and they will test it for contents and purity; they'll test blotters as well. Each time I've gotten new LSD I bring one hit to there to make sure it's LSD and not something else and to get a rough estimate on the dosage (usually hits of LSD turn out to be 50 ug to 150 ug, with lower doses being a lot more common).

Either way, I've had a lot of blotters that tasted horrible, and each time I had them tested it turned out to be LSD and nothing else. I've had tasteless blotters about as often, which also all tested to be actual LSD and nothing else. My point here being, that a gross taste says nothing about the contents, it could be the inkt or something non-active on it that causes the taste.

However, the side effects you mentioned aren't comon with LSD, I've never had cramps or pains on LSD; the bodyload of the substance is actually rather pleasant, buzzing, stimulating, maybe slightly tense but without doubt comfortable. Also the normal duration for LSD is 8-14 hours depending on dose (they say 8-12, but if you dose really high it wíll go past the 12 hour mark, however much longer is very unlikely). Average blotter size shouldn't be more then 7mm x 7mm, if its much larger then that I could be a DOx, especially if the duration was longer and you experienced uncommon side effects.

Another way to appearantly tell is by paying attention to when the come up starts. LSD never had me waiting more then 45 minutes for the first effects, in fact usually it starts doing something after 15-20 minutes, with its peak falling after 1.5 - 2 hours, if it takes múch longer then this, ánd it tastes bad ánd it lasts long ánd it gives different side effects I guess its pretty likely you had some DOx or bromodragonfly.
