Bitcoins

Just been looking back through the thread looking for what sorta prices you guys are paying for them, but all I can find is people ranting with MDB lol.

Can we rename this thread "The Bitcoin and MDB ranting thread"?

____

They seem to be going at £78 per bitcoin at the moment. Which is a £28 raise since the thread started.

I'm looking for a fluctuation in the market; hoping to find one for under £70

I just got some at £73... i remember when they were at £3/4.... if only, if only id known. i spent around 100 bitcoins back then.

^^ Why?

If you purchase the coins and buy whatever you wanna buy. The exchange rate really doesn't matter. (Unless you're looking to dabble with BC trading?).

Well, buying a bitcoin for, let's say, £65 (As it was 3 days ago) is going to allow me to buy more Home and Garden appliances from Silk Road, than if I buy it for £78 right now... surely?

The prices on the cotton pathway are set to the $ and so you'll always be paying the same amount. For example if the price of a shovel is 1btc one day it might be 1.2btc the next day, mirroring the change in btc value (the site does this for them, the sellers set their $ price and the site sets their btc price accordingly). This is why if you buy stuff as soon as you get your btc it doesn't matter what value the btc had.

Sorry if that's rambling I'm shite at explaining stuff.

Is there anywhere you can buy bitcoins these days without having to send them pics of ID and utility bills? :\

Yeah man :(

NSFW:

Nobody likes to give out photo IDs or take pictures of themselves for verification. It is an inconvenience, a risk, and from a casual buyer's perspective it probably seems like an unnecessary procedure. Unfortunately with the recent influx of scammers using stolen accounts targetting bitcoin sellers, the sellers' choice is to have their bank accounts frozen or take precautions that minimise the risk. Not to mention that BitBargain has a responsibility to prevent money laundering. Once you complete the steps to verify your identity, it will show as such on your profile. The sellers will not see these images if there is no chargeback on the payment, but your verification status will show on your profile and so this will allow you to buy higher amounts for lower prices. In a perfect world, there would be no need for this procedure. Unfortunately, currently there are people out there selling their documents for money advance and claiming to be victims after fraud happens. Police refuse to deal with fraud cases, they refer anyone trying to report such crimes to Actionfraud (in our experience of over 8 reports so far, no reply has ever been sent, no investigation ever took place). Under these circumstances, a simple ID upload facility does not guarantee safety for sellers. We thank you for your understanding and hope that we can build a community of buyers and sellers who have complete trust in each other.

To verify your details, you need to upload ALL of the following

Government issued photo ID (passport, ID card or driver's licence)
Photo of you holding up the same photo ID and a piece of paper with the word BitBargain on it
Recent utility bill or bank statement with your address on it

I did it all on bit bargain today without all the ID crap. Just did now.

Only thing u might wanna do is verify your phone number, this leaves u open to more offers.

These bitcoins are rising again. They were £78 last week but I could only buy one for £84 after looking around this week. Hopefully this is a start of an exponential rise because i'm using this "coin" for investment purposes!

I think it might be because I'm trying to create a new account (I can't remember my old login details)

The thing is.. All the bills are in my name but I don't have any government issued photo ID.. So my gf has ID but no utility bills and I have utility bills and no id :(

^ Maybe. Try re-registering with a different e-mail address then.

There should be no need to use a photo ID. I registered last week and have just bought my first bitcoin hassle free

:\

Now I'm suspicious..

We tried re-registering with different E-mail accounts but it kept saying we already have an account (probably due to our IP address)

If anybody is interested how to buy bitcoin for paysafecard, which makes it actually anonymous, just watch this youtube video instructions : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Mj2pnQa1QE
Also you can do with other method skrill neteller ukash or bank transfer and even paypal, but as a new user they wont let you use paypal as it can be disputed. They dont require any identification. there are the fees for each payment listed after you login. basicly you need to buy linden dollars, and then sell the linden dollars for BTC. I didn't try it yet but im gonna try it soon, when i get some PSCs.
