Bitcoins

I couldn't sell my bitcoin during the crash, but at the same moment the prices on the drug market hadn't dropped yet, so I was forced to do the wise thing and spend my coin on exceptionally cheap drugs..

Tonight alone (in the last 2 hrs) I've watched them climb from $75 to $94.20 and still rising. http://preev.com/btc/usd
I fucking wish I'd waited two hours, before I spent mine. Still, my 0.3 Bitcoins was worth around £20, as opposed to the £2 it was worth a few weeks ago. I'm certainly not complaining at that. I reckon they'll go back up, after people stop panicking. Mining suddenly seems like a really good idea for free drugs and even profit. :D

mining is pointless unless you have free electricity and a stack of cutting edge GPU's.

Honestly, I really do think they will be going up for the forseeable. That silllyhigh spurt 'n' spazz will no doubt be one of many. But overall the trend will be vertical. Vertiginously so at points.

Got shit all to invest so is considerably easier to speculate, mind.

Why?

You can explain the growth so far - attribute it to novelty, genuine black market use and speculation. You can explain the bounce back after the crash with even more speculators looking to turn a quick profit (not many other investments can rise however many % in such a short time frame), but what is this exponential growth going to be based on?

You're hoping that BitCoin enters the mainstream market and becomes an acceptable method of payment for Amazon etc. It's risky, really risk, to think that that will happen, rather than might. Not to mention, the value crashed because community demand outstripped resources. That should scare the pants off people who look to make a profit investing on a less volatile growth punt, especially when taken into account that its entire growth of the past few weeks is (almost) purely down to a huge spike in media interest.

I'd be nervous about investing in BitCoins now, there's just so little to go on. It's not to say you can't make a profit but, just be careful, really careful.

It looks nice but risk outweighs potential gains for me. I said the same thing when I had opportunity to buy when the value was like £10 and don't regret not jumping on the bandwagon. It's like Poker - you make the calls based on the info you have and over the course of time you win more than you lose if you never risk it all.

Ok I only regret it a little bit ;)

From £162 to £50 in a matter of days, glad I cashed out when I did at 140 I got spooked.

I go through intersango if i can mention such specifics. With these, they do not refund your money. You have to spend it.

Think it's too late to invest now as a way to make any money. It's big news now and everybody will be trying their luck

that should force the value upwards still . Great for those already in, but for those who arent, forget it.

Agreed Shambles that cunt on the right does have a fake fucking smile.(

Are you sure its meant to be a smile and not a derisive sneer at all us fuckin retarded plebs.

What's the latest gwanain with the raascart boitcoins? I've still got a small amount (0.4) sitting in an account that I'll spend on a little bit of weed. I'm thinking about acquiring some more coinage to get some good speed & acid for a trippy forest rave thing we're going to in a few weeks, which would involve flinging more money into the thing (not serious amounts, £100 or so).

Is that a bad idea right now or am I at worst going to pay slightly too much depending on currency fluctuations? I can dael with paying a bit over the odds. Just had a quiet weekend saving money & decided I need a proper blow-out to look ahead to.

Can someone hook me up with detals on how to fund it via barcalays, a kind Manc once explained it all to me but I've lost his instructuons.

edit - I've only just realisted the time lol. Early doors. I'm sitting here eating a chicken fried rice. Smokign weed & eating xannies like nobodies business last ngiht. Ended with a wee random snifter of MXE, must have drifted off into an MXE snooze. Still feel scoobied the now. Dooby time!

See I'm kind of stuck. Some stuff that I really want to get requires bitcoins. There's no major rush, got a few weeks until I need to stuff. I have the .4 sitting there just now which I'd quite like to spend on weed pretty soon.

As for more interesting things I just want to buy bitcoins at a reasonabe rate then spend them in a week or two. Am I best buying them just now & hoping they don't crash further, or at least have picked back up by the time I need to spend them? For the weekend away that requires some fun drugs I can always get my weed/pills through standard sources but thought some nice speed & acid would go down a treat & spending bitcoincagge is the only easy way to acquire these things.

market data for the last fortniight :

people selling actual goods/services will just adjust their prices according to the market, so it's only a worry if you are a speculator...

Certainly not a speculator. Simply trying to buy things. Just para of buying £100 worth to find out that two hours later that's reduced to £60.

You reckon I'd be as well just going for it the now & getting it over & done with?

Also, barclays apparent easy funding option - can someone PM me details on how to do this?

Edit - I'll openly admit to be being a bit out of my depth here. Not used to buying £100 worth of drugs unsure whether that £100 will be worth £500 or £5 come tomorrow.

Edit again- Basically I want to drop £100 on bitcoins right now, to spends ASAP - Is this bad timing?

yeah buy them now, theyve gone up 2 quiid in the half hour since I woke up, but are at a low.
