We must save our childrenfrom foolish belief in the supernatural.

Education is the only toolthat we have to drag ourselves and our children out of ignorance andsuperstition and that education should include that it is foolish to read mythliterally. No more Dark Ages should be allowed.

Comparative Religion shouldbe taught to insure that no child is lost to creationist intellectualdissonance. We must expose our children to Comparative Religion as soon as theycan understand Evolution which would be taught alongside of it.

To do less would be shirkingour duty to our children and their young minds. If you do not supports thistype of all-inclusive education, please show why you oppose it?

Remember that when PresidentBush backed up stem cell research, it gave other countries a chance to advanceaway from the U.S. and hurt the U.S economy.

If the U.S. fails to educateit’s children properly in Comparative Religion and Evolution --- and thevarious sciences that stem from it, --- the U.S. will shrink it’s economy andpower as compared to those countries who have a fuller and more intelligenteducation program.

Do you agree that it is theduty of the U.S. education system to maintain a first world standard ofeducation in the teaching of Creationism, Comparative Religion and Evolution,--- and catch up to more intelligent countries?

DL

There is no god without satan; do you want more people believing in satan?
If you want to spare the youth supernatural fairytales, why teach creationism?
Your link between stem cells and teaching religion affecting the economy is false.
First world is out dated; this isn't the cold war.
My country is more intelligent that the US (statistically) and there's no creationism/"comparative" religion taught in public schools, in fact it's against the law to do so afaik.

Two questions for you: what's wrong with believing in satan? what do you think teaching creationism will achieve?

According to you we're all God remember,
why would I need to save self from self?
Your logic trips on its shoelaces everytime it attempts to run.
Stop and tie those shoes buddy!

^I don't think that he is talking about his own personal conception of god, but moreso society at large's conception of god. More to the point, societies investment in the supernatural as an explanatory or causal force in the universe, something that no evidence has ever surfaced for.

I find your statement about logic/illogic to be quite amusing TBH :D

OP, I don't understand at all why you think creationism should be taught. If your reasoning is to throw its irrationality into relief, I feel that will be lost on children. Children are quite literal. If its because you think it has some validity, I simply can't agree.... There is no use, and plenty of harm, in teaching untruth. When I have children, I wish them to be exposed to religion as a historical subject, not as something that has any relevance or meaning; 'this is how they used to think'. Religions often display culturally bound motifs, and are quite vital as historical documents in determining the values and idea's of peoples living at certain times. I hope that my children aren't taught to fear death (and life) and to feel ashamed for being human. I think children need to be protected from the psychosis of mass religion; that's just my personal view.

It will achieve a reduction in those who will get indoctrinated in supernatural beliefs if taught elsewhere.

What is wrong with believing in Satan is shown by various reports showing the trauma suffered by both children and adults who are taught that they are born corrupted and must somehow make themselves better to escape hell.

Google will give you as many as you like.

As well as mine and education is key.
The secular adult world is better educated in religion than the religious world and that indicates a secular interest in religious studies. If secular parents want to know and teach themselves religious studies, it follows that they would not mind starting their secular interest in religion earlier for their children. They would vote for a more intelligent level of religious education. It would improve on what is being taught to religious children today.

It is also the duty of thesecular world to insure that it's future members are not as deluded bysuperstitious belief as their parents. The tipping point of belief is fastapproaching and duty says that we should facilitate change.

Is a good knowledge base agood defence against superstition?
Yes it is.

What do you have against equality?

You need to save yourself from yourself because you cannot think too well.

I mean no disrespect but this question being asked on a drug forum by a username called methamaniac raises some thoughts...

^
I already explained my name once.
Has zero to do with drug speed.
Your prejudice probably keeps you from understanding a lot in life.
But here's good news--
You can fix ignorance!
But it's going to take some work.

Look up, the point is above you.
Oh that's right, you dont have your glasses.
Im not talking about me necessarily in post.
Im talking about GB.
If he is God and everyone is God,
he would be me.
But if we are the same why are we disagreeing?
Stop thinking after five minutes,
the dizziness will wear off.
:) No disrespect.

I dont have a problem with equality. But to say Im wrong being I am God(you say)-- and YOU are God-is a little contradictory. You're disagreeing with yourself. But whats new.
When you let go of that merry-go-round of illogic
you're on,
I bet it is going to hurt like hell.

I want to be better than everyone else.

✔?-✌'s
You managed to hit me and GB with that comment. Intentional or unintentional.

As for me,
I'm not trying to be a better than anyone else,
just trying to be a better me than I have been.

So in other words, you're suggesting that the United States should just revoke the 1st amendment?

That's basically the sum of what I'm reading.

I don't know what planet you're on, but the United Sates has been the Supreme World Power of planet Earth for nearly 2 centuries. And from the looks of it, we will continue to be the Supreme World Power for centuries to come.

We literally have a monopoly on the advancement of human sciences.

We are the authorities when it comes to space exploration.

Our military is unrivaled.

Need I say more?

They hand out airy fairy degrees like Bachelor of Arts so why not?

Be quite Australian. The Crocodile Hunter was and continues to be the epitome of Australia's accomplishments and the only valuable contribution it has made to Planet Earth.

I take it you're laughing with me...either that or you a severely warped view of reality.

Soak this in...

The United States consumes over a quarter of the worlds energy and oil, yet we only make up about 3 percent of the population.

For centuries to come my friend.

In do time, you will come to know, and you will, without opposition except this glorious New World Order.

Patriotism trolling only works for really sheltered people living in insular parts of the world.
You should go back to being banned, godandstuff, it was more fun.
