Haha. Did you miss my post from a few days ago when I said I hit standing water at 60mph? With an artic coming the other way doing the same? Much poo in pants, no crash. I'm such a good driver. :sus:

It's flooding round here.
 
Standing water at 60mph, poo in pants indeed. hit water at speed a few times, aquaplaned a few times or it slams me forward n cant see anything. remember a few months after passiong my test belting along at about 90, lost grip started to plane, felt the wheel go light, started to snake but thankfully corrected it, coulda been a bad end result. my really low honda civic wasnt ideal for flood water to say the least, especially not around here
 
Should probably start nailing pieces of wood to my windows and going out and panic buying copious amounts of milk and bread.

Not even a breeze up here.

We had some crazy floods around here earlier this year or whenever it was, completely cut off villages like a moat, flooded main roads, never seen anything like it before. very nearly flooded my car a few times going through some floods. pissing down with rain in the dark couldnt see shit apart from the back lights of the car infront, which happened to be a 4x4, followed it though thinking... oh shit my car is gonna flood
 
Ahh, nice, Mendo! Am a bit to the west of you, so should be getting the weather first.

Might wuss out of Leeds and head into town instead. :/

It floods round here lots. There's a castle nearby (don't think it's Albion's) that is surrounded by a meandering river and when it floods it looks brilliant. I'll take some pics if it does. Great place for tripping and we have the mushrooms...
 
Not looking forward to this at all, i'm on call out tomorrow and monday night for any emergency tree work. It means i can't have a smoke all day tomorrow on the off chance a tree comes down and causes a problem, fuck having to deal with any thing when i'm stoned. I'm off out tonight as well so i'm going to be hanging tomorrow and gagging for a smoke.
 
emergency tree work? do you go out with a chainsaw n chop them up in the road and crane it onto a lorry?

Yeah basically mate, normally not a crane involved tho. The fallen tree just gets cut into bits and dragged of the road, someone else will pick it up at another time.

The wind has massively picked up here now, heavy rain as well. For fucks sake
 
Pretty insane storm, coupled with hailstones the size of large marbles, on Friday evening, here. I actually thought someone was throwing stones at my house, by the fistful. Never seen hail like it, it was like God was emptying his ice cube trays over us. Thank fuck I wasn't outside, because those bastards would have murdered. Very cool to watch, though, with amazing lightening.
 
Lovely sunny day here (Cambs) but the wind is starting to pick up. Just hope that if it does get bad here that I don't need to go out anywhere.
