big problem

a pile of nigella lawsons dirty lingerie
my dvd player led keeps blinking. its been blinking like that since i got it. seemingly designed to be as distracting as its quite possible to be. need solutions. so far ive got.. repeatedly slamming it, corner-first into my eyesockets over and over again, till all the red goes away


can anyone better that
 
If it's only when youre watching something, then put something small in front of the light that's nontransparent .. or electrical tape or whatever.

If it's all the time then switch it off at the mains instead of leaving it on standby

guys ive only got sellotape and im already on my tenth layer. how long should i keep on going

A small piece of paper folded up lots of times stuck on with sellotape, or a bit of dark cardboard selloptaped.

This light problem, is what I'd call a nonproblem. It's a 5 second job to fix, with no ingenuity needed.

The real problem, more of a dilema really ... is choosin' what yer gonna watch.

Keep us updated tho, this has me on tenderhooks

the red light is now behind a square of paper (or cardboard) its just.. i know its still there, blinking away. can anyone offer any more solutions to this. i feel like that square of paper (or cardboard) is my the fig leaf of my sanity, always threatening to fall off and expose me..

No, you're just window dressing that to hide the guilt and shame your consciousness feels knowing you're about to watch an Arnold schwarzenegger movie, or something equally distasteful.
 
Clever Marmz. It's not really the light that needs to stop blinking, but there's something psychologically deeper within yourself that needs dealing with, and until you find this repressed problem and deal with it (Stop watching barely legal, sado-masochistic, Swedish porno DVD's you sick freak)... the light will forever blink, no matter how hard you try to hide it.
