RCs Big n Dandy 4-FA (4-fluoroamphetamine) thread v.1.0

Don't be stupid and OD on 4-FA like I did. I took twice as much as my normal dose (eyeballed) and I just started profusely sweating (cold sweats) for the rest of the night along with my heart racing. Basically all the crappy peripheral effects with no fun effects.
 
I also plugged a large amount of 4-FMP respectively last night and felt only mild stimulation, also not like the first batch of 4-FA I bought, but I think I bought it too long ago to moan at the vendors at all.

4-FMP and 4-FA are two names for the same drug. Unless you're talking about 4-FMA.

Same here. :( I tried it properly for the first time a couple of night ago. It gave me one of the worst pulsating headaches ive ever had in my life. I was thinking about calling 999 for an ambulance for the first hour or so of it, but glad i didnt in the end. For me it was unlike a migrane in that with this one remaining still or lying down increased the intensity of it and standing up and walking about clutching a bag of frozen peas to my head was the only way i found to lessen it. Migrane pills and benzos did not help, eventually i took some o-dt which induced vomiting. Then i had the idea to try to completely clear out the contents of my stomach my inducing vomiting until there was nothing left to vomit. This helped a lot, only wish id had the idea much sooner, as soon as i could tell that things were going bad.

I can only really blame myself as i think the problem was recklessly taking a stupidly large dose, plus possibly the fact that im on SSRIs. I took 180 mg and felt mild effects, felt good, music sounded great. I was so pleased that I'd possibly finally found a replacement for mephedrone in this regard. Well a couple of hours later i lost whatever sense & judgement i usually possess, my scales were fucking up on me, i wanted to get very blasted, my thought processes were telling me that since 180 mg was mild, then the 300 mg that was infront of me on the scales would be fine. It wasnt.

Not sure if it was a simple & straightforward overdose, or serotonin syndrome or something else, but i wasnt having any twitches or anything like that, so dont think it was SS. With regard to taking serotonin releasers whilst on SSRIs my experience up until this occasion had never been anything worrying or bad, the only effect it seemed to have was to reduce the effectiveness of things like methylone, mdma and mdai. Id got into the habit of stopping the SSRIs for a couple of days before the planned binge, this seemed to increase the effectiveness, presumably by giving my brain chance to flush out a lot of the SSRIs blocking effects.

Yes i know ive been an idiot. This has been the second serious mistake ive made with regards to the size of the dose of drugs taken. On both occasions it has occured on re-dosing when my judgement and caution had been severely impaired.

What do people think might have caused the headache ? Too much serotonin released, whith the serotonin reuptake inhibitors still active ?

Well, I'd assume mixing an SSRI with a serotonin releaser isn't good, but I've heard of people mixing MDMA and SSRIs and getting a reduced effect.
 
That's because SSRIs bind so much more effectively to the transporters and stop MDMA getting in there. I Imagine they would cause similar problems for 4-FA

There's an article about differences in vivo pharmacokinetics between d-Amphetamine (d-AMP), d-Methamphetamine, 4-FA, and 4-FMA in Japan (This article is Japanese only so I'll introduce the summarise of this in English). These data are not human's but rats so this may not be adopted to human, so please consider as only scientific data, but it's so precious data.
According to this article the half life of d-AMP (1 mg / kg, and so forth) in rats is approx. 100 min., in contrast 4-FA is approx. 205 min., about 2-fold longer. Interestingly, comparing d-MAP with 4-FMA it's opposite, d-MAP is approx. 110 min., 4-FMA is approx. 60 min.
There are many differences between human and rat in metabolise pathway so it should not too simplify to interpret of course, but if these differences could be neglected, medical research shows that the half life of d-AMP (as prescription medicine Dexedrine in the US) is about 9 hours in children and 11 hours in adults, then 4-FA has potentially over 23-24 hours half-life so it could be ideal medicine for AD/HD because it's no need to take divided and not too long to cause insomnia when comply to the prescription issued by specialist.
And this article also hypothesised the reason why 4-FMA has shorter half life than d-MAP, it says demethylation of 4-FMA is rapidly processing than d-MAP. I cannot any skeptical point in this hypothesis in my knowledge, so please point out if exist something skeptical point in it.
It may support that many researcher said that 4-FA is better than 4-FMA, because many people think that Methamphetamine is stronger than Amphetamine and indeed that's right, but it's not the nature of substances but the fact is only MAP is far more lipophilic than AMP due to -CH3 so easily penetrate BBB then has higher activity than AMP. In fact AMP is slightly stronger than MAP in vitro.
It's shown that Fluorine increase lipophilicity then it's no wonder 4-FA has stronger biological activity than 4-FMA.
Subjectively 4-FA is not so worth to recreational use however it has potentially more effective because due to has less adrenargic property than d-AMP or rac-AMP (Adderall or Dexedrine), it must reduce side effects like agitation, cardiovascular side effects and so on, moreover, weak entactogenic effect might have good influence to those who have AD/HD with Autistic Spectrum for 10-20 mg low dose.
I hope that this substance will not be only treated as "Drugs of abuse" but approved as Rx medicine for AD/HD someday.

(4-FA is completely legal in my country unless to sell or give to others, however it may show pseudopositive reacion to simple drug screening test then it has some difficulties for therapeutic use instead of Adderall which is illegal with no exception, even if doctor's prescription possessing here)

Just tried 4 fa for the first time tonight. I did a bit of research before diving in, & felt comfortable with a 170 mg dose. I can see how people would make comparisons to mdma in as much as the initial elevated good mood & optimistic outlook I was imparted with at the onset of its effects. I also had a heightened sense of vision in that everything seems brighter. Overall, I am zippy & motivated tonight & socializing wouldnt be hard at all on this. I could see a 50% increase in dosage having rather profound effects. I like this one :b...
 
It is not "supposed" to look like anything. Particle size is not a measure of purity at all.

The only thing it indicates is the crystallisation speed either ante or post-synth.


Jakeperson - dissolve in a minimum amount of water and allow it to evaporate slowly.
 
I have never experienced or heard of Quality crystalline form of his chemical. it has always been fluffy powder that shines or Glimmers crtalline flakes.

What property of 4-fa exactly makes it so irritating to the nose and mouth?

I've been using it as a nasal spray 8) for some weeks, but I'm starting to think this may be a bad idea...
 
So I have come to the conclusion that the 4-fa I got (which is a bit grainy) is cut because dosages of about 300 mg feels to me like 150mg of pure. I have not had pure but i assume this from reports. I know taking 380 should be overkill but its just very euphoric and euphoria last about 3 hours while stim lasts about 9 in total (including the euphoric time). So just my 2 cents.


QUESTION:

Does Baking Soda have the same effect on 4-fa as it would other amphetamines? Also what would this do to the exp? would it make it shorter with a biggger rush? I generally dont like rushes that come with mephedrone or MDMA and love the slow come up of 4-fa. If I decide to dose 400mg (about 200mg with my batch), would it make the come up way more intense rather than ease into it. I want to prolonge the euphoric stage as much as possible

Would you guys say 4-fa allows for 'change work' similar to MDMA? I am not expecting the expansive acceptance that MDMA provides but a little bit of ego softening to allow some earnest reflection?

I was deciding on 2-fa again or giving 4-fa a try and if 4-fa allows for this then I'll probably go with it this time as I could do with a little more depth in that direction for my next trip.

When I was on a SSRI (Zoloft), the effect was veeeery weak. I got a buzz, and a physical good feeling, but not much else. I did (very stupid, I might add) 500mg one night and there was just a buzz all the time. Luckily I didn't get any bad side effect,s even though this dose was way too much, and the only bad thing that happened was wasting a good batch for nothing.
I'm off zoloft now, have been for two months and haven't used any drugs since November. I orally ingested about 80mg, then in 15 minute another 50mg. It's been 45 minutes, I feel great and the feeling gets better every minute :)
