i tested a scraping which turned purple to black in 10secs but then the edges went green/yellow ??

this is the 1st pill ive tested, so i dont have anything to compare it with but is yellow / green edges sposed to be there when it tests as MDxx ?

or is this showing me traces of 2cb like substance ? 8)

either way it was a fuking intense ride. best pill ive ever had easily beating the As but yeh there was definately something different about these. i peaked about 4hrs which is about twice as much as ANY other pill gives me. after the come down started i noticed mad closed eye visuals and kept spacing out.. just drifting into my own little world "trippin" if u will :P

I have tested many pills and had the same reaction, IMO it does not indicate 2CB at all. Not sure exactly what it is though, but the thing is that black does blot out other colours and the mixing of the reagant with the pill fragment can cause some discolouration.

2CB shows a very obvious yellow/bright green result, not a dark murky green.

ah ok kewl well then im gonna assume MDA/MDMA then :P lol

it was a pretty distinct yellow/green but was like a 1-1.5mm film around the entire edge. oh well if theres nothing wack in these pills then theyre a good 9-9.5 outta 10 :)
 
I have tested known good MDMA pills that have reacted like this. Perhaps phase_dancer can shed some more light on it, but it does not indicate the presence of 2C-B. I have seen this reaction before, and it highlights one of the difficulties of reagent testers, they are subjective and without a lot of experience it can be difficult to interpret strange reactions. That being said they are still the most effective substance identification method available, and without it adulterated products will increase.

^ We'll have to assume the link is totally unrelated, there is no way of telling they're the same pill. Thanks for posting anyway.

I have removed the link because it could lead someone to make a false conclusion about the contents of these pills, where local reports and test results would be much more helpful.

I had these beige amsterdam's on friday night at about 3am, came on within 30 mins and resulted in a very enjoyable and intense peak for about 4 hours, with after effects levelling off to a lower "plateu" like peak for another 2-3 hours. These are definately strong pills, reminded me of the first batch of the Lexus's around a few months ago. Come down wasn't too bad at all for me, and I did notice some strange closed eye visuals when trying to get to sleep at mid-day the next day (this could have been attributed to by the lack of sleep though :))

All in all, awesome pills. They came on hard which is always a good sign in my book. I don't however think they contained any 2-CB, but rather a very strong MDMA dosage. Maybe you're not used to such a dose?

Just my 2 cents :) Grab these if you can.
 
im not sayin that it was too much for me in anyway :) im just new to testing and was curious as too why yellow/green (2cb on the chart) was showing up in the reaction. its been explained and all is good :)

definately great pills! go get some ;)
 
Weird test results

Just thought I would add that I tested one of these with all three reagents I have and got some weird results.

The EZ Test came up purple. I swished it around with a knife after a while and there were no other colours hiding in there, just the purple.

Simons no change.. at all.

Robadope no change again.

Now, shouldn't the Simons go to purple with MDMA?

This pill has me very confused. It has friends (and me) who usually take 2 pills to even feel anything bouncing around for hours. When I took 2 last week, I was on a "mdma like" high for 4-5 hours then had my 6 or so hours of tripping. Another DJ friend popped one today and he was stuffed for about 5 hours and usually takes 2-3 when he does do them.

So, in review, weird test results, massively long peaks, trippy after effects although this seems to vary person to person. Over to the chemistry majors to tell us what is going on.

Also, is there a lab you can send scrapings to any where in the world at the moment?

Yeh, I took some of these down to melbourne and was having some bloody weird hullicinations. out of body experiences (really trippy, I saw myself walking to the bar and coming back with some water, then disapointed I had no water on return... then to figure out I never got up) I've never had anything like that happen before.
It was alot of fun but it freaked me out towards the end of it.

Are these the same as the brown splits that were around exactly one year ago? 'cause they were awesome.
 
I remember reading that the green around the edge is due to oxidation, if you leave it out for long enough the whole test will turn a greeny colour.
 
hey there tantra- no these are not the same as last years batch- much stronger and i agree with what everyone is thinking- there is some wierd stuff in these! hope it's not dangerous! if anyone has more info pls post! be careful with these peoples!
 
i dont believe theyre dangerous.. just fuking potent lol ;)

dont double these if u know wats good for ya :P its prob just a lot more mda in these then regular mda containing pills.

if i get some more ill post a picture and retest them

If they're so strong it's probably worth starting with a half... actually when trying any new batch of ecstasy pills it's advisable to take half rather than whole. That way if the pill is too strong, or has any unexpected effects, you've only had half of it. You can always take the other half in an hours time if you're not getting enough out of it or have decided that it's time to up the stakes. The waiting time usually won't mess up your peak timing too bad, if anything it extends it a little IMO.

I talked to a friend of mine that took half last week, and she said it felt like she took a full "normal" pill, and she wasn't tripping, so I assume these are just bloody strong, reading around erowid, large doses of mdma will bring hullicinations and strange experiences on. Now I think about it, about 2 hours into it, I was pretty loved up, and it felt like mdma. the first hour was scary as I wasn't prepared for it, and the last few hours I was seeing things. I don't think theres anything weird in it, just bloody strong. I'll have to get some more of these and just have half. I'm about ready to take an e break though :(
 
I also think they are just a very strong dose of mdma, all typical mdma effects and very long lasting pill.
