BHO quality or quantity

Quality!!!

Poorly made BHO is not only weak, it's loaded with unpurged butane and/or a bunch of plant matter, making it taste a lot worse.

Butane that wasn't completely purged from the BHO is so bad for your health. Butane is an aromatic hydrocarbon, and can cause headaches, neurotoxicity, and a whole lot of other fun stuff. The absolute worst BHO is the black crap they sell in glass vials, stay the hell away from that. Average quality BHO is green. The best BHO is the color trichomes: golden or amber, depending on the strain.

Quality.

If they are both correctly purged, I would still go for quality all day.

Anyways if you have good quality product in the beginning, you can't really try to get more out of it quantity wise, while having a less quality product, except if you run your product a second or third run.

Quality.

It's nice to have quantity, but bad quality BHO or wax is not worth it. Excess butane can be neurotoxic, it is also going to cause profuse coughing.

I thought you were more of an iso man or have I got my wires crossed?

A great way to be absolutely sure no butane ends up in the end product is to purge it with a vacuum. I'd love to make one of those devices myself but I'm useless at DIY and I already have a trichome tumbler project to do (pollinator-like device).

I'm honestly all about the wax. I don't do iso extractions, and I'm pretty sure the extracts I'm getting out here are made with butane.

+1

Sometimes "you get what you pay for," but in the case of BHO/wax, you get a far better deal in terms of health and potency when you stay away from the badly made BHO/wax.

Yup, all wax/oil is butane extracted, "Vector" brand butane is the gold standard, and I've never heard of any oil/wax that isn't made using Vector. To be honest, BHO and wax are so similar that I refer to both of them as "BHO," as they vary only in terms of volume and potency.

Concentrates made with lower quality butane than Vector is unfit for concentrate smoking. ISO hash oil is usually never smoked by experienced cannabis users, and is used only in edibles, like the beloved Hubbys Hash Oil Chocolate Bars. :D

What I meant is they don't label it as "BHO" and come up with names that doesn't let you know what solvent was used.

It's definitely implied by the connoisseurs that wax is made with butane but I wouldn't be surprised some noobs have no idea.

I don't hear about "ice water extracted hash" either, I hear "full melt" most of the time. I have also heard BHO being labeled as "Super melt".

Correct me if i'm wrong but chemical extractions aren't allowed in Cali..? I think they are in Colorado though.

Sucks they aren't in Holland... i'll have to make a trip in a MMJ state to see what they have to offer compared to my homemade hot water purged BHO...

my boy did an extraction on some vaped weed(stupid i know) but that shit came out to like a gram. tasted like vaped weed still got you high but not nearly as nice, so. QUALITY
