Isn't it funny how sometimes we allow ourselves to skate a line so thin?
For Starlette:
maybe it would have been better,
if I had the guts to push the knife in,
or if I had something sharp,
that day I stared at my wrists for hours.
or if I could stomach those pills that night.
maybe that fate would have been better.
than what I’m going through now
unbalanced –
searching, no answers to be found,
what went wrong?
to have the one thing that made sense –
just thrown away,
tossed aside as it where nothing.
am I that cheap to you?
