I have to replace all of my pituitary hormones due to a head injury which destroyed its function. The pituitary makes beta endorphin. I have confirmed total pituitary dysfunction. Something like naltrexone would do nothing for me. Without vicodin or some opiate I have no desire to get out of bed.
Could anyone extrapolate on possibly the best long term opiate replacement therapy for such a situation? I do not have experience in that realm and my endocrinologists do not seem to care.
