I would like to try this as a sleep aid. Not sure how much will be safe to take. I am currently not using/abusing any drugs or alcohol, and am not withdrawing. No problems with my blood pressure. Not taking any other prescriptions. Healthy 22 year old female. Just suffering from insomnia. Any advice?

Not a good insomnia medication. The best beta blocker to take for insomnia would be propranolol, but that is only if you suffered from insomnia due to anxiety.. Also, a side effect seen with antenolol is insomnia. I think OTC diphenhydramine or doxylamine succinate would be better. Wut have u tried already? And wut type of insomnia is it? You cant get to sleep? Wake up too much at night? how many times a week does this happen?

I usually stay asleep when I fall asleep I have trouble falling asleep to begin with. I have tried over the counter medication such as benedryl and unisom, also have been prescribed ambien, trazadone, seroquel, and zyprexa. I didn't like the foggy feeling the next morning from the last 2 medications. the ambien eventually stopped working, I worked my way up to 100 milligrams a night and nothing would happen, tolerance. Also tried melatonin. Trazadone worked very well, just cant afford my meds right now. My father takes atenolol for blood pressure. I'm going through his med box. Its the only thing I could think of.

It won't help much.

If your tolerance is too high you need to give it a good, long break then come back to that. Maybe cycle sleeping medications that do work for you.
