Best way to test potency of MDPV?

I was wondering what method(s) are used to check the potency of MDPV (Methylenedioxypyrovalerone)?

If you want to do an allergy test (snort a very small amount to determine potency), that's the best course of action. You can then work your way up from there in dosage.

Well I'm aware the potency is very high of what I have access too -- thing is I don't have GC-MS testing available to me, and I'd really like to get an idea of the potency range.

I know it's uncut, and I believe in the 99%+ potency range, is there maybe a melting test such as you can do with cocaine to determine potency (which gives fairly accurate results if done even without a computer)?

If you know it's uncut and in the 99%+ potency range there is nothing you are going to be able to do at home to tell exactly how pure it is. Feel free to melt it but what conclusions are you going to be able to draw if it begins melting within a few degrees of the published value?

I don't trust any of the vendors that say their product is "99.9%" pure, "95%" pure, etc.

Always make sure you do an allergy test, if nothing else.

It would hardly instill confidence for a chemical supplier to believe this a selling point.
