Best way to identify a drug user?

I've been told I have "the look" of a druggie by friends, coworkers, and crab ass elderly people on the bus haha. I don't get approached often though...and it's not easy for me to spot a user myself because these days your 7 figure salary lawyer could be using, and some grungy looking dude could be clean and sober.
 
Easiest in for me has always been to make a drug joke or reference and gauge their reaction to it. The coy smile and "I wants" face is usually a good indication. It also lets the holier than though folks step on their soapbox and tell you all about their cousin's friend that did heroin once and now is a homeless junkie... :)
 
"Hey do you liek drugs?"

"LOL ya."

"Want to do some of my drugs with me?"

"Lol yeah!"

and they all lived happily ever after...

Ill tell you how you can be 99% sure somebody is a dopehead tho. well one who shoots dope, the sniffers less easy to spot.

Cigarette burns in every piece of clothing they are wearin/on the seats of their car
Q-tips layin around all the time
Always seems to have a bottle of water on them or in the car, or a glass of water nearby on a bed stand or somethin, and it never moves always stays in the same place but the water level goes down

Yea I was gonna say that. When I was in rehab, EVERY dopehead had cigarette burns on their pant legs. I was the only sniffer there, so my nice pants and nice veins were always getting compliments:)
 
coming into work on a Monday morning still sweating, chewing gum and smelling of vicks - Probably a roller :D
 
People at the club, drinking bottles of water, keep closing their eyes for periods of time, shiny forehead, prooooobably rollin'..... Occasionally you see the closed eyes, look straight up, open eyes super wide, mouth probably open or chewing a mile a minute....or mouthing "WOW"....yeah...how's that rush feeling bro? Sometimes you can even just tell from the look on people's faces as they hang out. I sometimes like to believe people have a 'rolling face', no pun intended. :)

Then there's the obvious ones like people getting light shows, wearing candy, pacifiers, huge pupils if you can see them, etc...

I think rollers are the easiest to pick out of any user. Next I'd think would be people on psychs..
 
You cant identify drug users, I can pick up high people way easy though. I actually met an acquiescence slangin OCs before. He came up to me after I walked out of a mcdonalds bathroom nodding the hell out. I came out red faced and and itching my nose constantly haha.

Mostly intuition, I can tell when someone is high on a certain drug when the effects are obvious, like super red eyes weed, talking too fast and doing things repetitively amphetamines.

I couldn't spot opiate users until I was using them myself and when I started using Heroin I was blown away at some of the people I met when I was buying, people who I would have never suspected of using any drug in a million years.

Some people you can never tell if they're high or not even if you know them well, others are so obvious to me that I can't believe others don't see it.

The main thing I've learned is you can't judge a book by it's cover, that's why I say intuition is the best way to tell, it's just a feeling that you get, especially with opiates. But there is no sure fire way to tell.

I just read some article about one of Americas most prominent experts on opiate abuse who had a wife who had an opiate addiction for years and he never noticed.
 
I think the ability for one user to spot another user is profound(kind of like black people). I know what to look for b/c i do the same thing. Like when theres a group of kids in a parking lot and 1 is a phone saying key words like meet, how much,. stuff like that. 4 deep in a car and the passenger is constantly looking down doing something with his hands.
Me and my roomate used to play a game called "whos good" in public places. Not actually looking. just guessing who is good.
 
This I noticed kinda recently, but look at a stoner's hands...often I notice I have some resin on there from moving around weed in a bowl/etc, and I'm very clean looking so I often wonder if others notice it on me. I haven't really ran into anyone else with this just yet...but maybe they aren't as lazy. It is difficult to judge with a lot of different drugs, I've had others be shocked by me, and myself shocked by others...I think it's slightly easier to identify someone else who abuses drugs than someone that uses them though, I know a surprising amount of people who use various substances and I never would have known.
 
I can usually always tell if somebodys smokes, how they dress or act. I'm pretty good at keeping my high a secret if i want to but I look kindof like somebody who would do shit sometimes.
 
i know this may sound strange , when im clean, and people pass me on the street, i can smell if they are a dopehead, its weird, i got a good nose

walked by a house today and was like damn someones having cook~up sunday

Doesnt it seem like every tweaker has this...idk how to put it. Softness? I guess you could say. To their voice. Like their tired but hyper at the same time. Thats how i can always tell when someones on a good binge. Also track marks. Knew a guy who walked around for a whole day wit permeant marker on his face.
