Best "upper" opiate

Oxycodone is oxycodone, buprenorphine is buprenorphine, they are both pure chemicals with a single component. Both of them are derived from thebaine, but neither "contains" it.

Anyone whom I've seen use Opana had some serious shitty nods, definitely (I say "shitty" because nods aren't my thing unless my sole purpose is to get some sleep). I have no personal experience with Opana myself. Hydro has never done anything for me except take a slight edge off the pain after breast *cough* augmentation those first two nights postop -- no euphoria or anything "zippy". However, I took it orally; didn't insufflate. That might've made a difference, 'cause it sure did with oxycodone.

I really appreciate all the educated responses. I think I have derived that I will stay the course with my oxy as it is probably my best bet for pain management/desired side effects. I might consider upping the dosage a touch as i have been taking the same dose for quite a while and it's not a really high dose.

On a side note, the is NOTHING wrong with breast augmentation karma! I think it might have moved a little bit when I read that. 8o

oc's='d an on/off again speedy, lethargic high for me. at moments i was very talkative, motivated, and my heart would race...almost reaching the point of anxiety attacks sometimes

percocets='d (and nothing else...) always gave me motivation and never let me down or sent me into a nod

so basically oxycodone is where it's at if you are looking for a "speedy" opiate high. or ya know..you could always do what i use to do..and speedball...but i really wouldn't recommend that...

oxy was only 'speedy' when I first started using it. Once tolerance develops I don't find my joy or euphoria or energy from any opiates. Only nodding and lethargy. As far as methadone goes, the length of the buzz is excellent. I DID I suppose make me feel a 'tiny' bit UP, but yes the comedown is horrendous. I received massive headaches from methadone w/d.

Oxycodone in lower dosages, buprenorphine and tramadol (but bupe and trams suck in terms of euphoria) ......H for the first 3 mins lol....

For the energetic feeling, Oxy has always been for me. Hydrocodone is a laid back narcotic for me, so not much energy. I havent tried Methadone but will because of how long the high sits with you. I have several friends that take Tramadol & they all get energy from it, never tried it tho.

I have tried every opiate there is with the exception of heroin as I am scared I will like it too much. Out of all of them i have tried Oxycodone is the most energetic opiate i have tried. All the other ones turn me into a cloud made of jello, oxy just makes me feel really happy therefore i am more inclined to get off my butt and do something.

When I was working at my last job i had a lot of free time just sitting in front of a computer with nothing to do but play on the internet. I could take my oxy and still feel completely lucid so if something came up i could get it done. The one time I had morphine at work i fell asleep at my desk around 10am and woke up at 3pm. Lucky for me no one came into my office that day, but even with oral morphine it was enough to put my into dream land.

So if you are looking to get high and still get things done Oxycodone is the best in my opinion. Just don't over do it, too much oxy will still make you into a retard if you take too much. If you really want a speedy opiate feeling then take some oxy and some caffine pills, or some kind of energy drink and you will feel amazing.

As i said before, everything in moderation.

when I did oxymorphone I was awake for 2 days straight, for me that is a very stimulating drug. fucking AMAZING.

I never understood how any opioid can have "upper" effects. Yeah, I get that some opioids are more sedative than others, but none have any stimulatory effects - not even oxycodone. They are all CNS depressants and cause respiratory depression, among other side effects which are "downer" in nature.

^It's not as simple as that. I find that GHB and alcohol actually keep me awake, even thought they're definitely downers. I yawn and want to sit down on MDMA, though it's obviously an amphetamine. So, I do find GHB stimulating (in a phenomenological sense), even though it's a depressant (in a pharmacological sense). I think that you're equivocating, in the same way that people think that depressants make you depressed.

No I get the part about the MDMA, because it's not a pure amphetamine - MDMA has some - not depressant effects - but calming effects. I haven't tried GHB, so I can't comment. Alcohol is different. It effects people differently, actually small doses of alcohol are stimulant in nature but large doses are depressant.

Opioids are total CNS depressants, so I just don't see it. I understand some are more sedative than others, but not stimulatory in effects.

But I get what you mean, different people will react differently to different drugs.

I think the "stim" effect that people talk about is more of a feeling of well being, rather than a huge amount of energy that you would get from amps or coke. If you feel really good then you are more likely to go do something productive. Oxy gives you that warm feeling all through your body, you just feel relaxed and happy but not tired.

On the other hand some opiates just relax you too much to do anything at all besides sit there, maybe listen to some music, watch TV, or play on the computer.

kokaino, that wasn't really my point, what I was getting at is that "stimulating" in the sense it is being used in this thread doesn't mean "having the action of a stimulant". Hiking and climbing and cycling are stimulating, but they're not stimulants.

Yeah I get what you mean. I always hear of oxycodone having "upper" like effects, so I get what you mean. There are opioids that are less "nod" prone than others.
