Best twist in a movie (possible spoilers)

Se7en, The Usual Suspects, Saw (sort of), Memento, Fight Club, The Salton Sea (how the plot unfolded), American Psycho, Mystic River (same as the salton sea).

From Dusk Til Dawn

Vampires!

Didn't see that coming.

what i liked about it was that
we THOUGHT it was a vampire
movie.... then, after about
90 minutes of the psycho brothers
semi-hostage familial take over,
you start thinking "dammit, Tarantino!
there ain't no vampires up in this
bitch!!!'

then

blam.

vampires, bitches.

so far almost everyone's choice for
best twist has been mint ..... except
for SAW... laaaaame... "oooh, he's
was in the room the whole time...
ooooh, big twist..." ;)

but yeah, i agree totally with Primal Fear...
that was in part, of course, due to supa-fly
Ed Norton when he flubbed it, tried to catch
himself, and had that look in his eye like
"pfft... fuck it, now..." and gave that crooked
smirk of a smile... classic.

Norton is under-rated.

Momento was especially nice, too.

I would have liked FIGHT CLUB's twist a lot
better if they had been more consistent with
the 2 characters being separate.

When Brad Pitt lets the owner dude pummel
him, Norton's character is one that helps him
up and walks him to a chair... to me, that
was a deliberate attempt to throw us of
as oppose to letting teh reality of the movie
sink in.. .i didn't read th ebook, so i don't
know if it's in the novel as such, or if it was
merely bad directing.

-shrug-

Donnie Darko

actually I'm not even sure that's considered a twist.

Santa Sangre -

i mean yeah so he was in an institution and everything, but the way it was told i really thought his momma was alive....so i was pretty surprised!

oh and Secret Window...though that was similar to Fight Club i suppose.

King Kong vs Godzilla

They both leave during the middle of the fight, what the hell is that. Don't forget that King Kong gets more powerful with electricity.

This guy is hilarious!

is that where the killer turns out to be a little girl?!

nope.

the killer was a boy.

whose mom dressed him as a girl.

i remember seeing this really young in the movies

and everyone gasping when they showed his cock.

it was the CRYING GAME
way before the CRYING
GAME.

Life of David Gale freaked me out in the end, but not as much as Primal Fear did.
When Angela Hayes (in American Beauty) turns out to be a virgin and the homophobic ex-marine dad turned out to be gay was also a hefty omg.

fight club - my fav all time movie

the usual suspects - friggin awesome too! ive only ever watched it once, i need a repeat!

there was another norton movie that had great twists back and forth, he played an alter boy who murdered a priest, i forget what it is called. he's an awesome actor!

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. Having never read the book and not knowing what the fuck it was all about I thought Harry was gonna die for sure.

Who killed Roger Rabbit
