Cocaine Best thing to do after missing shot of crack?

Yeah, I know crack isn't meant to be shot, and I know shooting coke/crack in general is very dangerous, as well as I.V. period, but I mixed the rock with heavily filtered Vit. C tabs and missed some of my shot. It didn't hurt; would it have if I'd missed a lot, or would I not really feel it due to coke's numbing effects? Anyway, if anyone has any tips about the best things to do after missing some of the shot to minimize damage and chance of complications, help would be much appreciated. I've taken a strong antibiotic (Clindomycin I believe it's called) and have a warm compress over the area and am rubbing it to try to disperse. Anything else I should be doing?


Also, I believe I heard that coke is particularly bad to miss. Is this true? Is it worse than most other drugs to miss a shot with? And if so, any idea why? Thanks guys.
 
you should still get somewhat high if it's in your blood stream but you'll get irritation around the area and possibly inflammation as well. clindomycin is good, keep taking that. put ice on the area to soothe the inflammation, should go away in a few days to a week. imo it's not really any different than missing a shot of heroin it's the same situation, infection, inflammation, irritation. if it gets bad seek medical help though

Hey, thanks a lot for those tips. Yeah, my needle was clean. I don't necessarily use NEW needles all the time, but if I've used it more than a few times I suck up a full cc of 91% isopropyl alcohol to sterilize it and then 2 or 3x rinse with water before I do anything with the rig. What are the dangers of this? Same as all IV misses? Bacterial/viral infection or too many particles sticking around and causing a lot of trouble.

I still got high as hell, like I said I only missed a little. Not sue exactly how much but yea.
 
np :) as far as your needle, alcohol doesn't sterilize it the way it should be. regular users usually get new supply usually in bulk. it's like a tattoo artist using a needle on somebody and then sterilizing it and tattooing another person. no bueno. always use a fresh needle. there's still that chance that you can inflame an infection that was already growing from the last time you shot up. i'm not that familiar with the dangers of re-using needles like i said most people that are regular users get new needles/rigs but it is hard depending on what area you live in, but i do know alcohol isn't going to sterilize it completely. so get rid of that needle! lol. you need one of those hot machines if you're gonna re-use the same needle, they're like $200 i think lol

but yup, pretty much the same as all IV misses. spot on with your second to last sentence, there's always that chance that an infection you don't necessarily know you have yet can be amplified by injecting again. i wouldn't use the same needle this time seeing how you missed and it's irritated. definitely try to get a new one
 
Yea to completely sterilize you need to use an autoclave or a steam sterilizer, you can also use a pressure cooker, I know this because for growing mushrooms to make your own spore syringes you need to sterilize the needles in a pressure cooker, although boiling it or using alcohol should be good enough if you have to reuse a rig.
