I was wondering if anyone uses the butrans patch and knows the best way to store it, (I use it for two days and then take it off) so it is still useful when re-applied. I have heard they can dry out, and not be nearly as effective. If anyone is wondering why I choose to do this, it is because after the first day or two of the 7 day patch I lose my buzz. I then would like to detoxify from it for a few days as to get the feeling again after reapplied. They come on an aluminum base, but after sticking to your skin, it is hard to get it to stick back on that "tin" so to speak. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this subject.

I dont even know what it is - but the (any) patches are not meant for reuse. Simply remove it - then re attach it with some tape? If its being stored for a day or two - keep it out of sunlight - or extremes of temperatures.

It is a pain killer for my back pain. I believe it used to be called bupe. It has been in patch form for many years now. It was created for use of people trying to recover from opiate abuse. But like methadone, some Dr.s use it for pain management.
