Pretty much everybody mentioned above is hilarious. I particularly like Mitch Hedberg. I started listening to Denis Leary in 2nd grade, which really I can't believe my parents were ok with.

Two guys that haven't been mentioned yet are Steven Wright and Jim Gaffigan. Both real funny. Steven Wright was the radio host on Reservoir Dogs and The Guy On The Couch in Half Baked.

Jim Gaffigan is in the Sierra Mist commercials with Michael Ian Black.

Also, listen to David Cross - It's Not Funny.

I saw Demetri's Comedy Central Presents awhile ago - so funny!

I'm also a fan of Louis CK and I hate Dane Cook :X
 
I just downloaded all the Doug Stanhope albums. Goddamn, that is some funny shit. If there is a more off-color, politically incorrect comic, I'd like to hear about it. Stanhope is like Andrew Dice Clay if the Diceman was actually smart...and funny.
 
Doug Standhope has become my new favorite. The Two Headed Baby bit, my dear GOD, I almost crashed my truck listening to that.

If you have access to sattelite radio, take a listen to Sirius 104, Raw Dog Comedy, and you'll have enough to last a lifetime.
