I just learned of this thread when I saw a link to it from another thread.

I don't see any Uplifting Trance on the list; what's up with that?

I didn't have a specific track in mind; I was just surprised by the absence of an entire genre.

But yes, your point is valid. I'll pay more attention next year, though if no one even nominated anything from the genre I doubt it would win anyway.

I am wondering if someone can tell me what it is about uplifting trance that makes it so unpopular among members of this site?

there's nothing wrong with uplifting trance. But I prefer soulful house or goa trance if I want to feel uplifted. Music has to be either funky or psychedelic for me to want to get down to the music.

on another note. I much rather listen to uplifting trance than that electrohouse or wobble dubstep crap that is saturating the clubs these days.
